Why wouldn't Max Revive work on a dead human? Because Pokemon only faint they don't die in battles, Max Revive heals their injuries and wakes them back up, it doesn't actually revive the dead.

Idea for literal Pokédex entries #53: Gigantamax Hatterene: This Pokémon can read the emotions of creatures over 30 miles away. The minute it senses hostility, it goes on the attack. Basically it would be funny if two trainers are fighting and the Gigantamax Hatterene hears tow kids fighting. Then it leaves the arena and destroys them
