Fam Fact: in the mid 90’s Dodge suffering from Corvette envy, seriously considered turning the Viper mid engine. Unfortunately the project was scrapped because production cost and Viper purest hated the idea of a mid engine viper. So the lead engineer of the project left Dodge and went to Ford. There he again pitched a mid engine hyper car….thus the Ford GT was reborn.

Dodge has never envied any other manufacturer other than itself. Ford created the game but its been dodges world ever since. Dodge has been banned from tracks throughout its history. Nobody banned a corvette because the only people who drive them are old and they go 5 under the limit. Corvettes are awesome though, my favorite is a 2004 - Im gunna pick one up in a couple years.

If they were to bring it back, it’ll either be a Mid-engine DOHC TT V8 or a Mid-engine V10. A DOHC V10 would be sick and would be a true test for the SRT team but with the success from the R/T, 392s and Hellcats.. I’m sure they’ll cook something up, before the viper was discontinued they were rumors that they wanted to bring it back as a Mid-Engine car

But one thing about the viper it's straight bad ass but you can't boost it the way it is the valves are small and it's tuned for it now if you got back into the engine and forge it and drop the compression doing some more extra customizing then that's another story but but that V10 definitely has strick limitations as well

Toyota/Yamaha make a derivative of the LFA V10 that would be 2 Litres bigger which should help with a deeper growl. Add a blower of 3 or 4 Litres making 1400 HP Mid Engined with Hybrid setup would be incredible on a new Viber AWD with 7 speed manual
