Fun fact: Robert smith wrote this in 1980 as a planned lead single for '17 seconds', but chose to scrap it and make it a bside to 'A forest' on a few selected copies. Kurt bought one, was extremely impressed, and used the lyrics on his own song of the same name.

Grunge and goth are such a great combination. Nirvana leaned more towards being a punk band really, so they're already like cousins to post-punk. A lot of songs by Alice in Chains and Soundgarden would also make great goth songs.
@DesmondDoom2 жыл бұрын
Alice for sure, Soundgarden would be harder, more bluesy and abstract because of Cornell and Thayil's writing.

Your Robert Smith impression is pretty spot on. There's also a hint of some Damon Albarn in there too, which could work well for a Gorillaz-infused/Blur performance of Nirvana too.
@Furigou2 жыл бұрын
You really did a really good job of sounding like Smith, must have been straining for your vocal chords. The most impressive thing about him is that his singing voice is also his normal speaking voice, there really is no change in tone, (aside from the thicc bri'ish accent), when i saw him live this monday I couldn't believe it, what a lad!
