I had a therapist for a little while who I'm pretty sure thought this about me (hearing what he wanted to hear). The next therapist I had a year later spent some time really cracking me open and figured out that I wasn't "controlling", I have C-PTSD and I'm defensive and doing my best to mitigate more damage. We've spent a lot of time working on it and I'm doing a lot better.

Every now and again, I go on a marathon of Lilly's old videos, and they are still pretty funny but afterwards when I watch a newer one I'm just so truly impressed by how much she's grown, in her acting, and writing skills, and just how much she has progressed over the years, this is why Lilly is my favourite KZbinr (and one of my favourite people), because she doesn't just say she believes in all these things and she thinks this and that, but she actually shows an example of all these things and frankly, just how to be a good human. you can go to the doctor to find out if you need therapy as well! you don't need to be the one to know that, there's professionals for it for a reason. you will be asked a lot of questions and if they figure that it's not a mental illness that needs psychotherapy, you will probably be referred to other ways of help. I would definitely give it a go if I were you!

as someone who is in therapy and is seriously struggling with mental health, seeing this vid HURTS!! we don't want to know their honest thoughts! sure, the vid might accurately represent what some therapists think about their clients, but how is that gonna make someone who's struggling with anxiety and depression feel when they're told that it's their fault when they're feeling these things? the truth is, it NEVER is the client's fault and a therapist should never think that! if a therapist thinks that, that's really just their opinion and they should never let their client know! seeing this vid makes me feel like my own therapist just slapped me in the face because that's what she might actually be thinking during our sessions! it's not something to joke about, Lilly.

You’ve literally been my role model since I was like 10 (I’m 15 now). My mom past away when I was younger and i honestly felt like you were such a good female role model for me.
