Holy basil is hands down my favorite herb. It also seems to be the bees favorite too! We started with one or two plants and within two years have hundreds growing all over from self seeding. Aside from being one of the best smelling plants in the garden it has also helped me tremendously with seasonal allergies and anxiety. My favorite way to enjoy holy basil is a cold extraction, roughly chopped leaves and flowers in a mason jar with water in the fridge shaken periodically over a couple of days and then strained. It is such a refreshing drink that immediately clears up any congestion and makes everything seem just as it should be.

Kaylee you are so smart! And adorable! I grow Tulsi Basil. I air dry it OR I don't dry it at all and boil it fresh then strain. I pour it into ice cube trays and freeze. Those are my ice cubes for ice water. Yum!

What an amazing way to save seeds. I didn't know that it was possible to freeze dry seeds and they would still be viable. Thank you Kaylee for the information

A great test for germination is to test something with a short term storage life like corn (1-2 years then they’re not germinating), side by side with the seeds saved the same time (normal dehydrating saving)… I don’t have a freeze dryer but I wonder!

Hi, do you a video on how you house and raise your quail? I have had quail and had to leave them behind. I watched a different video where you gave the quail left over herbs and I like the environment. Thanks

I do hope we can still learn many amazing things from you here, because you have been my go to for over a year now 😊 You, Jill and Jess.. I got so sick I don't work now and sadly cannot take advantage of the course. I have been on a journey of getting well again for 20 years and have planted a herbal garden and have learned many valid things from you that are also helping me little by little, step by step to rebuild my body's systems and look after myself more. My money goes on creating a non toxic environment for me to grow in and this year I have to start again in a different home, so any funds I have I am slowly rebuilding a growing space and starting all over again. Seasons are challenging for sure, but step by step I walk in hope my body gets better again. I did buy all the extra herbs (I hadn't grown and dried from my old garden) for those scrumptious bath tea bags you made up with Calendula, lavender, rose petals and chamomile. But I had to use oat straws rather than milky oat tops because I couldn't source them in the UK. Though I have since found seeds and have sown some ready to plant out as soon as I have the beds ready. I love everything you teach and I'm entirely grateful for all the teachings coming into my life. I've come so far over 20 years of illness but still have a few mountains to climb. You three ladies make the view better whilst I'm crawling up them on my knees 😅🫶

I started just using twigs, a knife to cut a flat spot, and a sharpie to write and know what's planted. Easy and quick and more likely to get marked.

😊yes ! We shouldn't be embarrassed by labels . And there are a few methods , to remind us of important information. 😊Date ; maybe time could be helpful; which seed or plant ! Some require more some less . Also keeping the original package product label is good! Please tell where would you keep it to grow and water! 😊 thank you very much! Enjoy your honeystead with bees !! ❤😊 😊❤

A question for you, I just ordered seeds for herbs, just 4 varieties to start. I will be using a raised bed, about 3 ft off the ground. Anyways what soil should I use to plant them to give them a good start?

Hey Kaylee, I was wondering if you know a reliable company to order Rhodiola Rosea plant? Me and my Mom wants to do the medical garden. The herbs that are taking in pill form like Holy basil have helped with my mo 's health. Other herbs and flowers for our teas. We wanted to do God's medicine and not men's medicine. The deanalion tea has helped my younger sister with her health. We are very grateful and blessed to have what God has created. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to do a medical garden. God bless you, your family, and your homestead. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
