It sounds like you're shouldering a lot of responsibilities on your own. It's crucial to be cautious and discerning about who you trust, especially when managing important aspects of life like finances and security. Taking the time to verify information and seeking advice from reliable sources can help mitigate risks. Remember to also take care of yourself amidst all these responsibilities. If you ever need support or someone to talk to, don't hesitate to reach out.

God bless you !! I love your positivity! You are a rare & precious gem!! One of a kind! Thank you for sharing because it encourages others, & that’s another thing you are doing now by sharing! I am very encouraged after reading your positive testimony. I am going to be 71 this year, & my nearest relative is 3 hours away by car😮 & I live alone & take care of myself. I am a positive person & I find that being & staying positive is a very important thing. It helps a lot to always look at the positive things in life & leavr behind any negative thoughts that don’t benefit you & only serve to drag you down! 🤦🏻♀️ And it’s important to not be around negative people who are just toxic to your system & serve no good & positive purpose in life but to harm your spirit. If you have any children in your life, play with them & laugh as much as you can because laughter is a good medicine! If possible make friends who are like minded, even if they are virtual friends whom you communicate with online. Surround yourself only by positivity. I think positivity is crucial to your health & mental well being. And finally make sure to stay hydrated & eat healthy & stay away from sugar. There are plenty of foods that are naturally sweet & natural sweeteners are best. Laugh s lot & look to do things that make you laugh & eat organic foods & stay away from GMO foods. God bless you even more because you are very blessed! ❤️ I will keep you & your dear wife in my prayers. 🙏 You are a blessing & anyone who can call themselves your friends will be blessed by your friendship. Do you have children or grandchildren who can brighten your day with any visits or phone calls? Even good & positive friends can bless your heart as well. That’s wonderful & positive as well. Spend as much time with them one of I will keep you in prayer.

It's understandable to feel frustrated or bored at times, especially when facing the challenges that can come with aging. However, your insight into your own experiences and reflections on the past are valuable. It's common to realize that the things we once criticized or didn't fully understand about our parents' aging process become more clear as we age ourselves. Remember that it's okay to feel these emotions and to seek out new activities or interests that bring fulfillment and joy. Whether it's exploring new hobbies, connecting with loved ones, or simply taking time to reflect on life, there are always opportunities to find meaning and purpose. Your perspective and wisdom are invaluable-keep embracing life with curiosity and openness, and know that your experiences are deeply respected and appreciated. 🌷🌟

I do use a house cleaner when I get behind. My wife is sick and stays in her bedroom most of the time. I have an inground swimming pool that my daughter and her friends use. I mow about 2.5 acres yard, raise a small garden, and I try to keep my roses taken care of. I have 1 outdoors cat and 2 golden retriever dogs who love the pool who are with me most of time including sleeping in my room during the night. Oh I remembered that both of my bird feeders are now all but empty. I try to sleep 8 hours a night as I’m usually very tired when 10pm comes. I also have a 96 year’s old mother I try to visit once a week to mow her lawn and help her with her bills. I had colon cancer a year ago and I’m still recovering but I don’t quit and give up.

The biggest surprise of growing old is that the process is full of surprises. I mean we all observed our parents and grandparents aging as we grew up and got older. But that doesn't matter, nothing prepares you for the reality of getting to 77 or beyond. You think you know, but you don't.
@mildreddelrio47477 ай бұрын
He’s to slow. What’s up with that.
@BuddhaZenWishdom7 ай бұрын
That's a profound insight into the experience of aging. Despite witnessing our parents and grandparents age, there's a unique and personal aspect to our own journey through the later years of life that can't fully be understood until we're living it ourselves. It's often said that aging is a journey of constant discovery, filled with both expected and unexpected twists and turns. Each individual's experience of aging is different, shaped by a combination of genetic factors, lifestyle choices, and external circumstances. While we may have some preconceived notions based on what we've observed in others, the reality of our own aging process can still catch us by surprise. Navigating the challenges and joys of growing older requires adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to embrace the changes that come our way. Finding meaning and fulfillment in each stage of life, despite the surprises it may bring, is key to aging gracefully and with a sense of fulfillment.

I see my peer at work who most are younger than I, 95% of them are overweight and i see trouble brewing. Disease takes years to manifest without outward signs or systems. Fitness level or vo2 max training is the number one metric in determining how long you will live. Cut down inflammatory foods like meat, dairy and eggs. For me I am as physically capable as I was at 20, just much more fit and stronger now.

Your choice to cut down on inflammatory foods like meat, dairy, and eggs is also a smart move for overall health. Staying physically capable, stronger, and more fit than when you were 20 is an incredible achievement. Keep inspiring others to prioritize their health-it makes such a difference in how we age!

@BuddhaZenWishdom7 ай бұрын
It sounds like you're managing a lot on your own, and that can be quite challenging, especially without close family nearby. It's important to acknowledge the strength and resilience it takes to handle everything independently. While waiting for senior housing, it might be helpful to explore community resources in Danbury that could provide support or companionship. There may be local senior centers, social groups, or volunteer opportunities where you can connect with others and build a support network. Additionally, reaching out to your siblings and daughter for emotional support, even if they're not nearby, can provide comfort and connection. Consider also reaching out to organizations or agencies in Danbury that offer assistance or support for seniors. They may be able to provide resources, guidance, or even temporary assistance while you wait for housing. Taking care of yourself both physically and emotionally is crucial during this time. Don't hesitate to seek out professional support or counseling if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or isolated. You're not alone, and there are people and resources available to help you through this period.

It sounds like you've built a great routine that nurtures both your body and mind. The combination of faith, love, and staying engaged with the world around you is truly inspiring. Music is such a wonderful way to stay connected to yourself and others, and it’s great that you’re still doing it regularly. Your story is a beautiful reminder that staying active and positive can truly help us navigate life’s challenges. Keep it up, and God is indeed good! 🎶😊

I am soon to be 82. I work about 30 hours a week from home. I do all the household things. I take care of all my finances. I drive some but not too far as one eye has macular degeneration. I take one big trip each year. I am happy to be able to do what I do and very thankful

I just got a face lift at 74 and am recovering quickly due to pretty good health. I've returned to the gym after 3 weeks but am taking it easy. My body isn't what it once was but I do Wm Hoff breathing and Yoga Pranayama for extra oxygen. A little caffeine and some weed also helps plus I've a good younger wife to help me out.

At 74? I was worried about getting a nose job, first didn’t work. Figured I was to old to be vain. Good luck to you

It's fantastic to hear that you're recovering well after your facelift and that you're taking steps to prioritize your health and well-being! Returning to the gym and incorporating breathing exercises like the Wim Hof method and Yoga Pranayama can be excellent ways to support your recovery and overall health. Finding strategies like caffeine and weed that work for you in moderation can also contribute to your comfort and relaxation during this time. Having a supportive partner by your side can make a significant difference in your recovery journey, and it's wonderful that you have someone to help you out. Remember to continue listening to your body, taking things at your own pace, and celebrating the progress you're making. Your proactive approach to health and vitality is inspiring-keep up the great work, and here's to your continued well-being! 🌿💪🧘♂️

I nearly fell asleep listening to him but everyone’s comments kept me awake as I laughed so much! I’m coming up to 81 years old and have an active strong faith in God which keeps me going despite serious health problems which I help with natural medicine and good diet and supplements. I can still drive and do everything I need to do by myself. I do Pilates 3 times a week and try to have a daily walk. I also dress young for my age and use makeup so most people think I’m about 60 years old. My friends and faith in God has kept me going despite suffering from PTSD and depression so helping others where I can helps me forget my past trauma and focus on positive things

What a wonderful testimony to resilience and faith! At nearly 81, your dedication to health, self-care, and helping others is truly inspiring. 🌟 It's amazing how you've found strength in God and through giving back to others, transforming challenges like PTSD and depression into opportunities for growth and positivity. Your active lifestyle with Pilates, daily walks, and maintaining a youthful spirit through style and self-care are proof that age is just a number when paired with the right mindset. Here's to many more years of vibrant living! 🙏💪✨

As soon as I carry a few 50# bags of horse feed to the barn I will throw together some veggies for supper, some of which I grew in my garden. Still have ten ponies and forty chickens to feed and colt to work with on my farm. My grandson thinks I'm cooler than his friends. Read at least one complete book every day and love technology cause it gives me access to science research. And I'll be 78 this year.

Wow, it sounds like you have a vibrant and active lifestyle at 78! Taking care of your farm, including ponies and chickens, and working with your colt must keep you quite busy. Growing your own vegetables and reading daily are wonderful habits that contribute to your well-being and knowledge. Your enthusiasm for technology to access science research is also impressive! It's fantastic that your grandson thinks you're cooler than his friends-that speaks volumes about your energy and interests. Keep enjoying your farm life and all the activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. If there's anything else you'd like to share or discuss, feel free to let me know!

Will be 91 in Nov still drive live in tri level home do my own cleaning, shopping , laundry pay all my bills. My husband passed away 9 years ago and miss him. Do not exercise but my steps do not bother me and Dr said that’s the best exercise as older people have trouble with steps. Been doing the steps for 53 years

Wow, turning 91 is such a wonderful milestone! It’s impressive that you’re managing your own home and keeping up with everything on your own. It’s natural to miss your husband; those memories can bring both comfort and a sense of longing. It sounds like you’ve created a routine that works for you, and it’s great to hear your doctor supports your steps as a form of exercise. Keep enjoying your independence and those daily activities! You’re an inspiration! 🌟💪❤️

Good genes, a healthy and active lifestyle and a bit of luck will get you far. Our mom is 69, almost 70, and the only thing that reminds us of her being a little older is that number. Because that's what it is, just a number. She's thriving and so are her sisters who are all, but one, older than her. She's retired but still works 3 days a week otherwise she gets bored, every other day she goes for a run, everyday we go for a walk at a fast pace, 2 times a year we go on holiday and do lots of hiking, she does the entire household, works in the garden, goes shopping, etc,... She has the most amazing sence of humor, likes to annoy us with silly jokes or pranks, she likes to dance around the house, etc,... She's almost 70 but I see a 40 year old when I look at her, it's amazing.
@BuddhaZenWishdomАй бұрын
Your mom sounds like an extraordinary woman! Her energy, humor, and zest for life are inspiring, and it’s wonderful to see how much joy she brings to her family and those around her. It’s a testament to her healthy and active lifestyle, coupled with a strong mindset and, as you say, a bit of luck. Staying active physically and mentally, having a sense of humor, and maintaining meaningful connections like she has with you are all crucial elements of thriving at any age. It’s also clear that her family’s love and admiration play a big role in her vitality. The way you describe her-dancing, joking, hiking, and living life to the fullest-paints a picture of someone who truly embraces every moment. She’s a reminder that age really is just a number when you live with purpose and joy. It’s heartwarming to see how much you appreciate her. Thank you for sharing this uplifting story! 😊🌟

I'm 77 and live alone in my old family homestead in the mountains. I had some health problems a few years ago but i am doing well now and maintain my own home and property. I have a fixed income and some savings and live quite frugally. My grown children are financially well off and keep trying to give me money or buy me expensive things. I've asked them to only buy me modest gifts that I can use up like gourmet coffee or fancy candles. If i needed them, they would come help me and we have a lot of love and respect for each other. But I'm proud of my independence and do not want to be a burden on them. I don't have as many friends for support as i once did. Sadly, many my age have died or are too disabled to be very active. I am grateful for what i have and am peaceful and content. ❤

It's wonderful to hear about your independence and contentment, despite the challenges of aging and the loss of some friends along the way. Your self-sufficiency and frugality are admirable traits, and it's heartwarming to know that you have such a supportive relationship with your children, even as you strive to maintain your independence. Your gratitude and peaceful outlook are truly inspiring. Keep cherishing the simple joys in life, and may you continue to find fulfillment and happiness in each day.

i'M 76 now!My favorite new way to answer when a scammer calls is to repeatedly shout excitedly their name, but also say My Grandchild, then starts singing very loudly the Happy Birthday Song and then, thank them for the tickets to Paris France this summer, when are they coming to pick me up! Thanks for the tickets and I have my passport ready now!

There are four principles to good health. 1) Physical movement, 2 ) simple exercise 3) happy mind set, ( those who live up to the beauty of the ten Commandments have a quiet mind, ( free from quilt ) livng to bless others also. Those who are always fixed on them self ( is a stagnant lake.

@BuddhaZenWishdom7 ай бұрын
It's important to enjoy life responsibly. While a drink can sometimes lift the spirits, moderation is key, especially as we age. If you find that whiskey brings you joy in moderation, that's wonderful, but it's also essential to be mindful of how it affects your overall health and well-being. Take care!

thank you for offering your perspectives and trying to help older people with life's struggles I would encourage all, especially seniors, to look into exercise and meditation I'm 70, still have to work to pay rent, grateful that I have the physical capacity to do so. I do the diet, exercise, sleep protocols and got free of drugs and alcohol just started doing yoga with the youtube mavens and haven't been injured yet I've tried the semen retention thing but I always end up having a nocturnal emission and then awaken to a load of ejaculate in my shorts the thing that has really helped my mental health is spirituality and meditation and that translates into pursuing physical fitness with greater pleasur
