Probably the most thorough breakdown of this brand on KZbin. Really this channel is a reservoir for Japanese fashion.

Robin Williams the shoe is wild in-person . It's pre-distressed, which doesn't really show on the stock photos
@SirIzzyBlack5 жыл бұрын
Cult Boy It's not too much though. Just on the rubber, and it's more noticable on the natural/egret colorway.

Robin Williams did you go through with buying a pair? If so, how are they so far?
@SirIzzyBlack5 жыл бұрын
Dan Ariola Inside it's basically a Chuck 70, same level comfort and same sizing. The zipper is a nice functional and aesthetic addition. The distressing stand out more on the on the lighter version. I'm not generally a fan of artificially distressed shoes, but I think they didn't overdo it here.

Undercover’s leather-sleeved/polyester down vest jacket is a must for anyone wanting to get into the brand. It’s a practical, yet stylish piece of outerwear. It’s not cheap (around ¥85000 when I bought an all black jacket), but it’s distinctively Undercover while retaining a timeless design, IMO. They release the jacket every other year in different color schemes and if you have the opportunity to try one on, go for it.

Thank You! This vid was super dope I've been following Jun's work for a while and at one point 10 years ago almost went to language school in preparation for study at Mode Gakuen or Bunka. He and Rei are definitely up there for me probably top 5... but I think I like Chitose more than both of them she's got there skill but the energy of her work/designs reminds me of the Chesire cat.
I feel like Reggie makes some of the dopest videos on fashion, but hasnt gotten enough attention. Maybe Jumpcut could help him like they did Jimmy Zhang and Frugal Aesthetics?

Where and how does one purchase apparel from Undercover Lab in the U.S.?
@southernpimp52525 жыл бұрын
I find it kinda ironic when designers channel subcultures into their pieces, but simultaneously alienate that exact audience who gave them their inspiration. Usually people in those subcultures resent the designers paying homage, and some even say they're stealing it for profit, not knowing said designer is a alumnus.
@jasperheh5 жыл бұрын
Another reason why people are hating on hypebeasts. Hypebeasts just spend money without understanding the brand and appreciating the designer’s ethos. They’re driving up prices on the resale market as well. For those of us collectors who aren’t in Japan, it’s super tough nowadays to get older pieces. We’ve spent years following and knowing and loving the brand, but unfortunately more and more people are slowly dropping out of the game cos of hypebeasts.
@andrewkang40915 жыл бұрын
but hypebeasts rarely look into older pieces??? maybe it's going up in prices due to increasing exclusivity not hype...

Zikang Tan hypebeasts are buying any piece they can get their hands on lul so much so that even the poorer pieces have resale value.

n not you but you’re prolly a hypebeast lol. At least you’re here to educate yourself with Reggie. Whereas other hypebeasts don’t care they just buy whatever hypebeast and highsnobiety or whatever your latest hype fashion blog features
