Hey everyone, I know I’m going to get questions about which wedges work best. I recommend Gary Ward’s wedges from Anatomy in Motion (the person who inspired the first exercise) here: finding-centre.myshopify.com/products/wake-your-feet-up Any squat wedges can work as we show here, but the ones above are optimal.

Thank you, this is very useful. Would it also be possible to address compensation patterns and pain that result from knee overextension, and how this maybe deactivates some muscles higher up? Thanks so much!

I did PT over the summer to fix my collapsing arches. I had bad asthma as a kid, and in the ER when I was 8, the doc told my mom to massage the arches of my feet during an attack. He didn't explain the reasoning behind this advice. Fast forward 40 years...I started PT for the collapsing arches, and discovered I had wicked plantar fasciitis...it was severe enough that my PT gasped and said "oh God, you could pluck that like a guitar string!" And I said, "wait, that's not normal?" As I worked on my feet, I noticed that it was the same pain that I had in my feet in the ER. At the beginning of summer I couldn't even run 20 feet without triggering my asthma. Now, 3 months later, I can easily run 3 miles without getting winded. So my theory about what was going on is this: A negative feedback loop was established at a young age between my diaphragm and the plantar fascia. Fixing the plantar fasciitis broke the loop, and my lungs have significantly improved, I haven't had to use my inhaler since I fixed my feet. I saw one research study where there is a high correlation between foot problems and asthma...but, I haven't been able to find much else connecting the two conditions. Fixing my feet has transformed my entire life. So has anyone else out there with asthma had a similar experience?

Conor, this one is a GAME CHANGER for me. It works from the foot all the way up the chain, allowing the hip to stretch. Fantastic. And while I don't have those exact wedges, the ones I do have are doing the job.

A video I'd like to see from you: how to properly target the rear delts to grow them (I feel like this is with the glutes one of the hardest muscle to hit for people in general)

I have zero pain, but my problem is I have two flat feet, knock knees, one (right side) lower shoulder, forward head posture. I just want to stand up straight with no weird looking. Is this program useful for me? Which program should I buy?

Conor, why is it that so many if not the majority of 3rd world cultures that wear shoes less often and sit in chairs less often walk and stand with feet turned out?

I wonder this too. It might be a genetics thing.

i seem to go through a cycle of body restoration , PRI exercises, feeling really good for a few days, only for the same usual suspects (muscles) to tighten up and leave me in a state of chronic discomfort... is this normal ? i dont seem to be making long term, sustained progress despite really encouraging results following certain sessions of exercises
@seanc.53103 ай бұрын
You likely need to make some lifestyle changes along with the corrective exercises. For many people too much sitting or poor sleep positions undo progress.

Are barefoot shoes bad for flat feet and overpronation?😊

Yup

Don’t shoe inserts do the same? My doc prescribed me inserts to wear, and they do the same in my shoe. Obv. I can’t use them barefoot.

Use wedge-shaped doorstops. They don't cost much and are available in packs of 2 or 4, or wooden wedges from the hardware store. They are even cheaper, but there is a risk of getting a splinter in your foot.
