I haven't even seen the whole thing, but "Drag Me to Hell" really makes me uncomfortable. I guess a cheesy movie that's also kinda disturbing. I just watched "Speak No Evil" and "Old Boy" pretty much back to back in the past week and they aren't haunting me much. Weird and interesting what gets to different people.

Another film that I immediately thought of in relation to misery is gerald's game on netlfix. I know that they both are stephen King so it makes sense that they are similar, but the "hostage" vibe as well as the out of control and trying to escape vibe is there as well. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit and have not forgotten the ending.

OMG shocked to see the Belko Experiment mentioned in this because I haven’t thought about it for years! That movie completely traumatized me unexpectedly when I watched it in the theaters, I was literally shaking after! Horror is my fav genre but I really never watch disturbing movies, especially torture movies and that one felt very much like a torture movie to me! Something in the dirt is supposed to be attached to the endless and resolution films as well, but I didn't feel like something in the dirt fit in as well? Still worth the watch. But resolution and the endless were for sure the best. Some people say their movie spring is also supposed to be attached, but that one I feel like meshes with the others the least. I do enjoy these writers very much, though. They also did the show archive 81, and I was so devastated that they canceled it.

For Final Destination, I'd recommend a silly low budget horror called Fortune Cookie. It's essentially a cheesy and goofy FD rip-off! A group of friends go to a restaurant, get fortune cookie fortunes that are innuendos to their deaths, then die one by one FD style. I wanna say some of the kills were pretty decent for the budget? Plus, Ryan Merriman's in it! Super fun, super stupid, good times if you're into that kinda thing

I'd like to chime in with some recs if I may! For Barbarian I'd recommend The House of the Devil (2009). Similar themes of creepy houses full of secrets, tonal shifts in the second half, and mother figures. For Misery I'd recommend The Eyes of My Mother (2016), which to me combines elements of Misery and Psycho and creates something even more disturbing, yet with beautiful cinematography and a great score. Also I realize Whatever Happened to Baby Jane isn't the film that a recommendation was asked for, but it struck me how similar certain elements of Pearl are to it.

I'm so glad you mentioned Perfect Blue! It's actually one of my first horror movies, and generally very different from what I normally like, but I think it's a great movie. "The Barbarian" was one of your proposals for the best 2023 movie, and indeed when I watched it for the first time,it blew my mind! I would love to see a Part 2 video with any horror movies you want to refer, but please don't forget to include an alternative for your greatest horror movie of all time :" The Thing". 😉

Love all your recommendations! We watched the reality show, and it was overall very fun! They have some of the annoying (but juicy)reality tropes where it's all the contestants voting against other people and people forming alliances etc! I would recommend watching it if you try to think of big brother more than squid games haha.
