I've been using 2 strands (worsted weight) for the MC, work 3 or 4 rows, drop one strand of the MC and pick up one strand of the 2nd color (so one strand of the MC and one strand of the 2nd color) for two rows, drop the other strand of MC and pick up the 2nd strand of the 2nd color and work 3-4 rows, drop one strand of the 2nd color and pick up a strand of the 3rd color, 2 rows, etc etc. I think that would look gorgeous on this particular blanket pattern. It looks "painted" or "splashed" and it's a gradual color change... it's hard to explain, but it's very pretty. Thanks for the pattern! ❤

Also, thank you for the graph of each item with its size. I am planning to make the lap blanket with three colours but in greens and cream. I just don't know how much yarn to buy. Thank you for free pattern. This is my first time reading a pattern. I hope I can do it. What size is the pattern for? It says different sizes are “shown below” but I couldn’t find them
@MumsyMakesCrochet2 ай бұрын
So the baby blanket pattern is free but you’d need to buy the pattern from my Etsy for the other size yarn amounts.

What size needle are you using? Can I use redheart 4 ply?
@MumsyMakesCrochetАй бұрын
@@lenoraperry8786 I used a 5mm and 10 ply yarn. You can use 4 ply but you’d need to use a smaller hook and you’d have to chain more to get the size right. I have the written pattern linked in the description box below the video 🥰

I'm a new viewer to your channel. Love your video! Can you initially work the chain as one normally would or do you need to work the back bumps as you did? I am not a rookie crocheter but i can see myself messing that up somehow. Lol
@MumsyMakesCrochet Жыл бұрын
Hi! You can work into the chain however you find easiest. I prefer the back loops as when you’re doing a boarder after (if you decide to) then it makes it a bit easier to see the stitches 😊

Will this work up ok if you use blanket yarn?
@MumsyMakesCrochet9 ай бұрын
It should work up fine 🥰 just remember that your blanket will be larger than stated as the yarn is thicker 😊

Hi a little help if possible please .I am making this pattern from you for a throw . 3ft.8 x 5ft. I’m. Using EMU classic Tweed Chunky 100g balls I have done 1 ball which comes out at 4 inches. Can you help me as to how many balls it would take to complete. Thank you.
@MumsyMakesCrochet9 ай бұрын
So you need it to be 5ft long. There are 60 inches in 5ft. 60 / 4 = 15 so you’d need approximately 15 balls of yarn 😊
