Scott, I've been watching you for years, and I've always thought you were a special person. You're a real homie for those of us who feel alone most of the time, those of us who are avoiding the day. Usually it's the subscribers who support the KZbinr, but for you it's always been the KZbinr supporting us, and I respect that. Thanks for always being there for us. I'll remember you for the rest of my life, bro.

Dear Scott, I don't know if you will ever see this comment, but I'll say it anyway. I lost my husband on 24 April. Eleven months before him I lost my mom, and my dad went a month after her. I am still reeling, but I am 'getting on with my life'. This morning I couldn't. It is winter here in South Africa, and that makes it harder to get out of bed. I don't know what lead me to your video, but I did it. I got up, made my bed, and showered. It is lunch time now, and after lunch I am going to find a sunny spot to dry my hair naturally. I don't know what will come next. Thank you for you kind words and gentle encouragement.

Oh my godness. What a hardships you are facing, my dear 🥺 Please, tell me how are doing now? I can be there for You, even though I'm going through much difficulties (mostly mental... Plied up, unhealed traumas, not having friends or family, currently struggling with finding courage to go out and try my supportive project into the city that I live in to make it my living.. every day seems to be the same, and actually no one checks out on me ever. No one ever is worried about me - and in despise of that, I still would do anything to help others that I see being in need.) God bless You soul. 😢 I hope to recieve a message from You. 🌼

I woke up today, afraid of how dark my emotions was. Then, miraculously, this videos showed up. I ended up taking that shower, clean my face, put on clothes, make up and found myself outside, walking in the sun. It felt so good to walk and have your comfort on my ear, so I continued listening to your other videos. I felt so understood and cared for, which was exactly what I needed today. No quick fix or advice, just comfort. Thank you. You are a godsend, Scott.

I’m about to take a shower for the first time in four days. I started a load of clothes and made some coffee. This past year I’ve detoxed off some medication used for drug abuse and it completely destroyed my brain… it’s actually healing my brain… but you don’t have dopamine left. Your body has to learn to make it again by itself. This past year has been so hard for me. Seriously I’ve just been so depressed or absolutely manic for days. It’s up and down rn. It’s hard. But fr thank you. This video is getting saved and will be played again. I’m only half way through but thank you seriously.

It might sound weird but it is so hard for me to take a shower or do other simple tasks that I really wish someone could hold my hand through it all. Oh Angel. I don't think I have ever experienced such love and softness from another person... But ironically - this is the way I show love to myself, (and to others, even to strangers! (I do not have anyone and I am struggling with a lot - including not having a support system outside of me). And even though the loving and gentle self-talk seems not being enough, just like today - I am so incredibly grateful to finding You and Your helpful, kind online activity through these videos - especially this one, when I have spent two hours on trying to call the helpline but it was constantly busy, or to find a fitting KZbin video - but only this one is truly conforting and helping me in the way that I needed to be supported. Thank You, in those emotionally unstable and though times, and days, that God is makeing me to still be alone but also giving me wisdom and softness to feed my own needy of it Self to grow. Thank You Scott. You helped me to get back to myself. And I will definitely stay on this quiet, comforting and safe- loving side of KZbin. What a good place to finally find❤

Even though I have very deep, repeated male trauma and overall big trust issues and troubles finding a compatibile human company ( that's why I am lonely and I'm tired of superficial and not right people) but... You! Seem like such a precious human being. There is this often used phrase "people are your mirrors" - but no one but YOU are truly mirroring the kind of person I am. I hope that soon my close reality will bloom with these soft kind of people so I can heal, being there and not feel the need to pretend and keep my gourd (?) up. Btw You just reminded me how much I love the fantasy movies like Lord Of The Rings or The Chronicles of Narnia. The truly bring me so much comfort. Sending gratitude 🌼

"Don't put pressure on yourself to "feel better!"" I think that's a very important point it's easy to forget or to just get wrong. For years I've struggled with low-level (and sometimes higher intensity) depression and anxiety. Self medicating with alcohol. Now in recent months I've been diving head first into more "spiritual" approaches with mindfulness, meditation, acceptance and surrender, self-compassion and self-care. Trying to let go of core beliefs like "I need something or someone external in order to feel happy". Letting go more and more of what other think of me (or more likely what I imagine others think of me). All the while taking it slow, one day at a time. Trying to step away from trying to "fix my life" and rather recognising more that there is nothing that is broken. I'm not broken if I feel down, depressed or lonely. I'm just human. By letting go of wanting to feel better and fix myself, paradoxically life becomes lighter and I start feeling better naturally.

Hey Scott, this video was everything I was looking for today. I was awake in bed for 2 hour trying to get up and I just couldn't help myself, so I decided to search exactly what you did in here and it really helped me, so thank you so much for that. Not only I got out bed, but showed and had breakfast (at 1pm but ok), I have some errands to run today but you helped me to do the hardest part of the day, which is get myself moving. I liked your idea to worry only about the next step, it is very common for me to overthink everthing and doing nothing as a result, because I'm frozen. So, thank you, once again.

Hi, I remember this guy so well during my anxiety days and i still have anxiety but i now have figured and realised where my anxiety had come from Let me elaborate :- I have flat feet/Physio gave me insoles as a kid and i never worn them for a very long time I have worn trainers since 2011 and my anxiety had come with symptoms such as brain fog, thoughts that would never go away, feeling down all the time, difficulties sleeping Now that time has passed, i have stopped being able to feel my body, cold or warmth etc I now wear shoes or boots and my thinking pattern has gotten better, my back feels tingling all the time, so if you feel c old or warm all the time or you dont feel your body that is cuasing you to feel anxious, please try boots or shoes or maybe a cushion to support your back better I now wear insoles too to support my body better Anxiety cannot harm you forever, there is a reason for it!
