I'm not a Police Officer, I have friends who are Police Officers, And, retired Police Officers, ì have a friend who was a Police Officer for the Suffolk County Police Department in Long Island ,New York for 18 years, he retired after getting hurt on the job with a big great pension, he loved his job as à cop ,now he's enjoying his retirement.

LE is not an easy field but it needs people who care about others. People come to cops for help. The cop must be able to deal with the public (who are usually either a pure pain or in desperate need of help). A cop must deal with all kinds of partners and the Brass. The Brass are the issue in most problems and the City Council in the rest. Command Staff are all politicians and they do not give a damn about you. Work hard and take nothing personal. Get your pension and move on. We need good people as cops but what we get are football players (not all are bad), wanna-bees and guys with huge egos. No one is "bullet-proof". One will find that one will come to distrust those dressed like one more than the bad people. Your friends as cops will be few but those are the ones who will rescue you. The others will let you sink.

Qualifying Immunity protects you guys from being sued and this is why most people are leaving because of the stress because they're afraid of the lawsuit because they're qualified Immunity no longer protects them that's just my honest opinion and I'll leave it as that.? @btalon6852
