I play a pure-WIND casual Dragunity deck, and, yeah, it’s still Synchro-heavy. Synchro is its best asset. I did splash in Stardust Charge Warrior (Level 6 Synchro; and Level 6 is the best Level in Dragunity Synchros), Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste (Miracle Synchro Fusion with Charge Warrior), and Castel (Rank 4 with all the Level 4 Winged Beasts, and even with Hunter Owl, Garuda the Wind Spirit, and Silpheed), and even those fit well. This is, of course, for casual Dragunity. A Fusion in competitive Dragunity? “Shenanigans.”

I'm glad they're making more archetypal search cards, I think (especially for things like field spells) that'll be the theme going forwards for at least the near future. I mean think about it, if Dragon Ravine ever became popular it's easier to hit it and this card than risk hitting a card like terraforming and hurting other decks. Look at archetypes like Ice Barriers they've got a card that literally just searches out any ice barrier monster, or all the searching toon have. If those decks ever became meta, being in their own archetype would make hits to it a thousand times easier and leave other decks untouched. I'm not saying generic support for things will ever go away completely, nor should it, but getting more archetype restricted things is far from a bad idea as well

I tested a little this morning, and I cut both Legatus and Remus to 2 copies each. Remus is good, but in a pure Dragunity deck where you already play 3 Dragon Ravine and a Terraforming it just got too clunky. And with Legatus unless I already had a Couse/Remus/Phalanx in the GY it was basically dead just because then Dux was useless so as an extender it wouldn't do anything. These are great cards...no doubt about it, but as of right now I'm gonna play 2 of each. It may change, especially if they reveal more new cards, but for now I'm going with 2

That's reasonable what ever works for you but question, doesn't Remus by virtue of searching ravine inherently makes legatus more live and less of a dead card. If that's the case would running 3 of each still viable and make the ratios more of just preference? Idk I have to test it my self. Because then you could make an argument of running three of one and 2 of the other.

@@jdamourep my problem was that I would either open only 1 of them, or open multiples of them so I wasn't really able to combo like I wanted to. I wouldn't always open Remus + Legatus for free special summons and then have a Dux/Senatus. Of course I'm still in my testing phase, so ratios will probably change. This is just what I've seen so far in like the 20 minutes I took to mess around with it. I'm not done yet lol

Damn, with the board this deck makes you're going to have to run every equalizing card you can. Dark ruler no more, infinite impermanence, lighting storm, d.d. crow, called by the grave, kaijus, ash blossom, EVERYTHING. I'm happy by favorite deck got some great support, my 12 year old self would be going crazy rn. Ever since I got the original structure deck as a kid and I discovered dueling network this deck really gets me going. I used to play this deck during middle school lunch this and blackwings.

I just realized that remus is the dragon that legatus rides in the artwork of romulus. Then i remembered that Remus and Romulus were the founders of Rome. After a quick google search i also found out that legatus was also the leader of a legion and the name of the structure deck is dragunity legion. Very interesting konami👍👍👍

Dragunity blue eyes? (Psst. You can normal summon sage and do blue eyes things before pitching Remus to search dragon ravine). Also you can put that one of dragunity divine lance in the deck to equip phalanx it to romulus and special summon it by effect. The nerf to Redmd doesn't hurt either btw since you can special summon another dragon from your hand and grave (and can be used as banish material for whatever). Also Pisty brings back remus from banished zone (it'll put itself back there again only if it was used to synchro. So use it as link material for Saryuja :]).

Yes, not for dragon link though they are just going abuse it, but this effect makes perfect sense. This card makes it much easier to get ravine aside from drawing it or using the 1 terraforming we have. Romulus can search it but you would need to actually get it on field AND get it's search effect off. However, Dragunity infamously couldn't get past a single hand trap if their winged beast was negated. Now, in combination with legatus, it can get a ravine, even if you already have one, so you can pitch a card for legatus (or any other Dragunity winged beast) and not use your normal summon. That way you can use Romulus to get a divine lance or Glow, if don't have one in hand, instead of going for ravine every time. It essentially starts your plays and cuts out the middle man.

Sacred Trash? Are you serious? I can totally agree with you on charmers and the extremely disappointing machina. However, what did you expect from the deck? The deck isn't going to be meta by virtue of what the deck is centered around. The support is great, they got so many new pieces if useful support that not only gives the deck win conditions but actually makes the deck playable, actually scratch that the built the deck from the ground up it wasn't even a real life deck before. I'm not a sacred beast fan but a lot of decks would kill for the kind of support it got. Not every deck needs to be or will be top tier.

The evolution of Dragunity since their introduction has made me so proud to be a Dragunity main. They were not the best archetype when they first came out. They had little “synergy” within the archetype. It was awkward. It was clunky. But now you look at it and “that there’s impressive.” It’s not “busted,” but things like Arma Gram (“that boy good!”) and Remus and all the new support make this archetype so much better.

It wasn't that terrible, it was just incomplete. Especially considering Senatus was aboslutely impossible to use since neither Romulus AND the Guardragons were a thing when he came out, and Couse was the only actual grasp of fresh air for the deck. And now they're both among the best cards in the archetype. But these new waves of support were absolutely needed, finally I can stop scooping every single time my opponent draws Nibiru.

@@spserpent naw I'd say it was bad. Considering they didn't actually "help" the deck. Senatus is cool, but it still loses to hand traps it was just interchangeable with dux. Ascalon wasn't well received at first and gradually became better and looked at more fondly. It's a useful card at 1 in my opinion, since its a good card for turn 3+, but it still didn't really help the deck. Luin was terrible by virtue of it being a tuner, literally one of the worst tuners extremely obtuse. If it wasn't a tuner it would just be better Vajryana since you don't need a Dragunity winged beast to summon it. Romulus is good, point blank. I don't even want to talk about Dragunity legion. All these card do nothing if the don't help the inherent issues with the deck. I mean seriously, based on the build you could run zero ascalon, or zero senatus and those are the good/okay ones. Support needs to be worth running, Incomplete doesn't really work either because even though senatus and ascalon are pretty good, I'd make the bold claim and say if none of those cards got printed (except for Romulus that boy good) and only the new structure was released then it wouldn't matter. Glow, Areadbair, Remus, and legatus basically changed the game.

@@jdamourep Agreed with being perfectly okay without Senatus and the other support cards from CYHO reprinted in the structure. Agreed with Luin being nothing but a possible slot in the extra for builds which include Darkwurm (and I seriously do not like Darkwurm at all, especially now) to go into Atum and that's about it. Ascalon is decent, but definitely something I would have appreciated more now as another option for going second. Senatus is still darn good nowadays, sets up the graveyard very easily for Barcha plays thanks to Couse (best card released back then). Handtraps have been a problem for the deck in general, I don't think that makes Senatus bad by default just because of Impermanence being a thing in the game. Or the other handtraps for that matter. Legion is a crime against humanity, I'd much more prefer remember the other disgusting cards from the very beginning like Angusticlavii & co. without knowing that that trap does and I'd still sleep peaceful nights regardless. All the new support is just astoundingly beautiful and is very well welcome, hands down the best thing that this archetype would have ever received. Took 'em only nine years to do so.
