Hostels are quite cheap and good in general in Japan. you have to look around really hard for a bad one, or have no choice but to be on a bad one.Also you need to buy a Tarp or a Cover for your Scooter in case it rains or have to store it or park it for long time.

exactly. I stay in APA hotels in shinjuku/ueno/asakusa all the time during "offseason" january - march and I can usually book rooms for $50-60 a night. which is SUPER cheap vs anywhere else in the world for 3-4 star rated hotels. again, Japan's hotel rooms are smaller vs western ones but for the cleanliness and detailed service, imo, I'd much rather stay in an APA hotel in Japan vs what a comparable marriot would net you in the states for easily 2x-3x the price.

You can take your trucks apart and clean them, and the bearings put them in a cup with some windex window cleaner and wash them with that or rubbing alcohol and let them dry and that will save everything but the deck.
@redwolfexr2 ай бұрын
Carry a light plastic sheet or a tarp and a few bungee cords. You can just drape the bike and then do a bungee loop around the handlebars and tail to hold it down. Sorta like you did, but enough to cover the whole bike. Then if it gets wet you can bundle it into a plastic bag from a store until you can hang it to air dry. And it will keep people from seeing what you have and make theft harder even if its not raining
@lesliefulton9219Ай бұрын

You might need quick releases for your totes on the moped so you can grab them and bring them inside. Also useful when you ride a ferry and can't have it top heavy. Just cable lock them through the tires.
@jayzee40972 ай бұрын
Heads up: Bikes like yours are really easy to steal, and helmets tend to disappear, so make sure you lock the strap in the seat or put it under the seat and park near cameras if you're leaving for a bit. Also make sure you have a sweet rain suit. I do the cheap ones with plastic pants and jacket because riding with a poncho on always leaves me with wet shorts. Anyhow, safe travels bro! You should ask about working at a hostel instead of paying for it. I think most places will do it.
