Yes but apps can't help us in love, we need to make effort and it's not something that is fast this app will only allow us meet a lot of people buy that's superficial , we need to add depth to it . Everything good needs time

The problem is silly humans thinking that you need an app for everything. Get off your damn phone and go out into the real world ffs! Walk up to people and strike up conversations! Join a club and mingle. Go to a bar and crack some jokes and talk. Sure, it takes more effort, but that’s what’s needed.
@void__star
@void__star 2 жыл бұрын
@@johnjohntv1195 I don't necessarily disagree, however, a properly implemented app should be considered like a tool to help augment your game, not replace it. Consider, for example, if you could see who's actually single (and maybe read a bit about them), before approaching in real life. While you may argue that you can infer that if you're at one of the locations you've listed, I don't like going to those places, and I'm not interested in most people that do. This is just one feature that could be implemented. Could also be gamified to encourage approaching in RL, and have modes that keep things fresh. Black Mirror comes to mind, although that app was obviously also a broken dystopian mess.

The thing I find hard with dating these days is that people are very reluctant to make themselves vulnerable to each other, because the likelihood of rejection now is higher more than ever. So what happens is that games are played, people are interested but don't want to seem it, people who aren't interested string people along, your texting all the time so things like length of text, emoji usage, kisses on the end of text, reply times etc. all become tools to which we people can manipulate others emotions. It is totally fucked. I feel like it is so rare to find someone whose intentions are genuine and they are just honest about it.

What most simps, feminist fe/males, white-knights, betas and conservative guys fail to realize: bad boys provide excitement, novelty, unpredictability and fun (fear, roller-coaster drama) to a new level. In other words, stability and commitment (no longer) won't cut it for today's 🦄. Why is that? Before she was your girlfriend, wife or lover, she already had been "run through" so many guys. And each time she slept with someone (both wo/men), she lost a part of her psyche, well-being or mind/soul/spirit. In other words, she is no longer able to have emotional attachment in a healthy or committed way. *Sex and Culture* by Joseph Daniel Unwin *The Rational Male Series* by Rollo Tomassi *The Manipulated Man* by Esther Vilar *The Myth of Male Power* by Warren Farrell *The Feminist Lie: It Was Never About Equality* by Bob Lewis *Anatomy of Female Power* by Chinweizu Ibekwe *Men on Strike* by Helen Smith *Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars: An Introductory Programing Manual* by Anonymous Feminist's Ideology from Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook: "My advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier." Cardi B. artist & role model for the most privilege 🦄 on the entire planet: “My music is always going to make a woman feel like a bad bitch. O my people, your leaders mislead you; they send you down the wrong road. Proverbs 31:3 Don't give your strength (attention, resources, mental point origen) to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings. We used date people who live within two miles of us. Or else we met someone in college. We used to be able to get to know who they were. We didn't date people who were total strangers. Others knew them or knew of them. They were not a complete mystery with pictures as old as 15 years and reputations they can hide by lying on their dating profile. It is extremely tiresome to go out with people you have nothing in common with except they like to take long walks on the beach and don't look like their pictures. There was a lot less potential rejection in the old style of dating. You already knew if the guy was a dope, a fool, a Don Juan or who his parents are and how he behaves in general. Many things were worked out before a girl or a guy looked at each and thought maybe, or "yes, he's my type of guy." And apparently it is an enormous amount of work!

The hardest part of being single in this time is having preferences as somehow theyre not allowed. We're expected to cling to the first person to show us interest since we should feel lucky someone even matched with us. I have boundries and when I let people know about them, they get offended since they dont fit what im looking for. Deal breakers exist. I shouldnt have to bend my prefrences and morals/values just to be in a relationship. Compromises are a thing but if we dont match and dont agree on fundamentals, it doesn't mean youre not a good person, it just means you're not a good match for ME.

I agree with a lot of what you've said here Russell! As a single heterosexual guy and someone who has survived cancer its difficult meeting new people. I've been single now for about 9 years, I've used various dating apps such as Tinder, Bumble etc with no great luck. I've also tried to meet people with similar interests to me to forge a connection, however I've been mostly friend zoned :( However I'm staying positive for the future and hoping to meet someone that I can connect with on different levels.

These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier." O my people, your leaders mislead you; they send you down the wrong road. Proverbs 31:3 Don't give your strength (attention, resources, mental point origen) to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings. Russell, the other problem with dating apps is that there is about 50 to 1---guy to girl---on the dating site. Here is an example: I created a fake account with an OKAY looking woman, nothing spectacular. During the first hour, I received over a hundred messages. I had so many messages that I could not answer them all. After the first hour, I had a mind-boggling 40 men ask me on a date. To boot, like I said, the woman I created the account with wasn't even good-looking.

As an average-looking Ph.D. student in STEM, who is also a teetotaler who does not like the club or bar scene, who lives in a university town, the prospect of even meeting someone through dating apps is seeming hopeless. It is especially challenging and even depressing when you match with someone you like when they don't have the same excitement as I do in texting with them (this is by no means their fault, as everyone has their own preference). This is where I am now. I generally do not use dating apps, and I try to numb this longing for a partner through work or chores. Two weeks ago I was feeling hopeful and made the mistake of downloading a dating app and I must say never I have never felt this shitty. I hope a year from now to come back to this comment and reflect if things have changed.

I stopped online dating, and using apps, a long time ago. After a while, it became obvious to me that I was leaning on the mere act of seeking dates online for validation. Having met most of my previous dates in natural, social gatherings, I felt that I should go back to that approach. The pandemic actually helped me become less codependent and more satisfied with being alone. Not lonely. I see online dating as too detached to be healthy. You're looking at images and text to make dating decisions. It's almost robotic. Now that society is returning to in person activities, I will stick with meeting people through social situations. I just can't look at dating as if I'm shopping for someone, as one would shop for groceries. Which is what online dating looks like to me. Great video, Russell.
