Hi Jamie the last couple of weeks I fished the opposite bank to exactly where you are. Fished method feeder 28 g with a combo of Larfords 2mm some coated with Scopex and some left natural. I caught loads on white pina colada wafter 8mm and 8mm expander pellets. Key to my session 2 lots of 6 8mm pellets catapulted in about 2 m from the island. Totally bagged up. Plus I had a few close in. Tight lines. You need to try Cobhouse near Worcester also a great venue. 👍

Good video Jamie I like Larford but have never fished the grass bank so well done on catching a few fish and tight lines 🎣🎣🎣⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

Thanks for the tip Jamie 👍🏻 Tried this today on a venue where chasing the fish around normally is the best approach. It worked a treat! It’s not a standard commercial, similar kind of stock but much less fishing pressure. So the fish tend to back off a spot after a few casts. Priming with pellets for a couple of hours seemed to pretty much fix that. Never occurred to me as the lake virtually never gets fished with pole or waggler so the fish never see hard pellets - but if it works, it works 💪🏻

Another Great Video Jamie, but why are you using keepnets when pleasure fishing. 👍👎🐟🏴🇬🇧

Great vid Jamie. How do u see drop back bites if you fish a slack line or is it just a case of they feel the hook and run
@Sausage19582 жыл бұрын
I fish a lot down margins and need a slacker line due to the savagery of the bites. They just bolt and hook themselves.

Thanks for the video. I've been getting into method feeder fishing recently. One question from your video, you mentioned that you were using 6 lb BS main line, but I noticed that the hook length was 7.8 lb BS. Just interested as to why you do this as it seems risky. Thanks.
@charliepreston12 жыл бұрын
I spoke to my good fishing buddy about the same question. When fishing a short hooklength typical 4 inches long. You get a violent take on the hook length and it comes under great strain on the take hence why you tend to have a stronger breaking strain hook length

@@charliepreston1 I get it now. Thanks for replying.

Would have thought he would be using a shock leader if main line is 6lb

Matrix need to take more care with their pre tied hooks I’ve had quite few snapping at the loop knot. While I’m ha in a little moan my hardly used matrix seatbox now has most of it’s winder tray clips not working properly. A bit poor considering the price of the seat box. Other than that great video 👍

Very nice fishing Jamie. But i saw something about your clothes , the same problem i have with mine. After a while , why do the black part become violet? Pants , joggers , t'shirts , you name it. If i wanted violet i would have bought violet , not black. Not to mention they aren't cheep , i expected a bit more from an international brand , disappointed overall.

Does anyone know which 6mm hard pellets are best to get? Thanks

Red Cherry blossom are the best at this time of the year I've caught load's compared to the natural pellets get them from any bait shop or try the internet they do a good good range on Amazon prime! Tight lines hope this helped Lee mate!. 👍🐟

Good video, as new to feeder fishing. What did you mean, by having elestaic on the line. I take it that was a free running rig. Thanks
@charliepreston12 жыл бұрын
Allan he's using what's known as an x safe type feeder which you simply tie a loop on the end of your main line and the simply clip on. There is elastic in the feeder stem which you can get in either black or white colour. The black is the stronger elastic. It not an in line feeder and not all fisheries allow them. So check your fishery rules before using them. They are quick change.
