If you have been watching the last few events, Janja has had several times foot slips and little mistakes that would normally mean the climber falls, but not her. Specially in this final she read the route so wrong and had to downclimb so many times to try to rest. The fact that she still made it to the top just shows how ridiculously strong and determined she is. Such a pleasure to watch her performance.

Great finals. They did a good job despite horrible conditions. By the way, Charlie, please stop saying the word "provisional". Just add a disclaimer like, "whenever I tell you when a climber is first place, that's a provisional ranking yet to be confirmed by judges at the IFSC." Saying "provisional" after every time you tell us what place some climber is in is really silly. If you watch your own video again you'll find you say it about 200 times a night.

Was dinara allowed the orange hold in the start?

it wasn't black taped so it's not out of bounds. but since it's not part of the female route, it's not counted towards scoring either. i.e. if she continued along the orange route and topped out the men's route, her score would still be 2. at least that's how i interpret the rules in the handbook
