It's amazing to see how the game had its foundation so clearly established way back in 2009. The final version looks so close to that original trailer. It's cool to see the vision remained true to the original idea and that they were finally able to realize it. What they made is a beautiful expression of friendship and mankind's relationship with nature both friend and foe. I loved the game and am thankful it's finally here for all to enjoy. It's Ueda's masterpiece.

This is the best game ever created. Never before have I felt this emotionally connected to a virtual character/animal. Might not be a game to pick up and play, camera and controls are wonky, but the experience is extraordinary.

Yup. All types, the director quit and started a new project. He still gave input on this though. I would wait for this game to go on sale regardless of any reviews.

The game was about to NOT BE RELEASED / PRODUCED when the company realized thousands of people asking about THE LAST GUARDIAN. --- So from a cancelled project... they decided to turn it real... Its been a decade...

No one will see this, but if someone does. I have a theory: Don't read if you haven't played or seen the game played to the end. The buildings are crumbling around you, and nothing holds well, why? Because the Helmets the creatures wear control them, it tells them to go to the tower, and only the tower. They used to be free, right? If not how would all of those buildings have entrances for them? When you take the helmet off of Trico, and "Not my Trico" they don't have a need to go to the everyday, or immediately. And the only way you find this might be true, is when you kill the final boss (the magic ball) all of the beasts wearing the masks fall from the sky, or collapse and die. But not Trico or the other one (the one you see on the broke pillar.) So at one point they were free, so what imprioned them? And what will happen to them now that there is only two left? The name "The last guardian" should refer to you, the boy. You are the guardian of Trico. You guide him to the tower, through the building and puzzles. Even though you are suppose to be in his stomach guiding him, you're a 'chosen one' who lived to guide and free the beasts. Now going off of my last point I think that this is a cycle. The creatures are free for sometime, then the magic ball comes back to control them once more. Another hero is born to lead two to freedom, restarting the cycle. And since the hero has the marking there must be more people with those marks, right? Right. So if another person is born, many generations in the future, then maybe they will be chosen to lead a Trico and another beast to freedom. And it seems like they've seen a beast like Trico, as they know what to do the first time he shows up to take the boy. So it's a cycle, or it's a way to cope with the lose of a power, or the magic contained in the barrels they ate. Though I feel the boy broke the cycle permanently, we'll never really know. But hey this is just a theory!

HungryGhost57 the game was originally suppose to release in 2012 but was delayed due to the studio being understaffed and then had some hardware difficulties as well it was supposed to be released on PS3 only but then the PS4 was coming out so they decided to release it on PS4 instead

Broken Song the PS3 version looked really cool, more realistic lighting and exaggerated effects, the Yoroi looked terrifying with their glowing orange eyes and Trico looks the same as always though I'm still happy it came out on the PS4, if it didn't I wouldn't even know about it!
