The line that gets me every time is "Living in your pre-war apartment... soon to be your post-war apartment." It's pretty creepy when it hits you what she's saying.

Now I live in a such apartment that has a status of in-war, but soon it will be in post-war one. Hope it will be soon. And the one thing I believe is that “the future is here, it’s bright”. Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

This is such an underrated song of hers. Definitely one of her best. The drum track is just awesome.

Love this song. She is such a talented artist in her own unique way. The last line, "The future, it's here, it's bright, it's now." I can't help but feel that there is something more sinister meaning behind this verse...

Exactly. The government makes everything seem alright while the distract us in different ways. Like Regi said, "The future, it's here..." We're not too far off from what she's singing. Wow, yeah really. It does sound like a slogan. Yes, her music is amazing! I get to see her in Nashville next month. :)

Strange girl... I feel like she's kind of carrying the Stevie Nicks torch in a way. Just like how Stevie carried the Janis torch. Very unique, kinda sexy in a very, very strange way. Very original...

She always struck me as closer to Joni Mitchell. Anyway a fantastic artist.

Of course the song as a whole is pretty demented. Having looked up the meaning of the meaning yet, but will.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Regina was born in Russia during the Soviet Union.

Любомир Милославскый your English is better than any of my secondary languages. My government is freaking scary. But not quite post apocalyptic. Though we don't hold onto our leaders for long these days.

How much was your soul worth Regina? You're more talented then you've sold yourself to be. You could have done it on your own with Jesus Christ on your side. Spoken from a true span while you were a true underground murmur.

Thanks 4 this comment, I feel very similar about this song ! 1st impression : wow, this music is SO awesome! But when I stop 2 actually think about the lyrics ,it's like this is designed 2 get U accustomed 2, identify with, & finally accept ,something really evil, becoming a slave of the new world order or whatever -breaking your resistance with the attractive music (this is how I feel when listening 2 this - gotta wean myself off it !)

I lost braincells reading this comment and the first reply under it. 🤣 If you were a true fan, you would've known that many of Regina's songs are fictional stories and not autobiographical. This song was featured on the same album (Far) as songs such as "Laughing With" and "Human of the Year," both of which contain allegorical references to Christianity.
