I'm only 3 weeks deep into learning about graffiti and haven't even scratched the surface but I've seen a handful of your videos and they're all really helpful and informative and encouraging. Pretty rad artist, awesome teacher. Like, a modern day Bob Ross...but with graffiti 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is a great way to help me with shadows for my letters. I learned by using refrigerators magnet letters and then shining a light on them from different angles. It helped me SO MUCH!

Amazing tutorial as always. You’re helping me out a lot. Used to draw a lot, then ‘adulting’ happened lol and finally realised I want to get back into it- for real now. No year long breaks. Anyway, keep it up man, thanks for helping us all out. You rock

I'm a new student to the art of lettering. I accidentally found your channel ..I'm so glad. No mistakes, right? I love graffiti. My city does a guided graffiti tour every sumer. We get a map and at every stop there's food and good music. It's a great way to actually get to meet the "Outlaw Artists" in broad daylight. Sci, they can see and feel our appreciation for their talent. Actually, my city, Everett Washington, encourages artists who do this. Lots of businesses hire them to paint on the walls of their buildings. If so, forward thinking! You're my first graffiti tutorial! Thank you. I've already gone broke buying brush pens for my lettering. Looks like I'll be spending more money on markers. But here's the good news. Crayola Broadline markers are a GREAT INEXPENSIVE WAY for new students of all styles of lettering. Of course, I've spent tons on Tombow fude dual- tip brush pens... but I started with both sizes of Crayola broadline and the slimmer super tips. Did you start learning your amazing talent? You're very EXCELLENT!

Sive I dont think this is '3d graffiti.' That would be stuff like Totem2's or Baresk's work no? Is a more accurate title not 'how to add 3d to graffiti letters.' Nice work as usual though👍
@S1VE
@S1VE Жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I would still call directional and vanishing point 3d letters. Totem2 is certainly a next level with a 2-point perspective although I’m not sure there is a common name for that level that has been adopted

@Riosoner
@Riosoner Жыл бұрын
I learned it the way Bilbobert describes it... never heard the term wildsytle 3D though... the difference to the styles you use here is that there is mostly no clear outline to follow so it actually looks like a real 3 dimensional object combine that with a drop shadow and it looks even more real. Its so hard to learn a sick 3D style ... I only know 2 people who really learned to master it.

Sive what does alcohol markers mean? And when you draw on a paper using the alcohol marker will the other side of the paper also be visible of the paint
@S1VE
@S1VE 9 ай бұрын
It refers to the medium that supplies the pigment. Like a sharpie for example is an alcohol based marker. They are common to bleed through the paper as you have described. They are not like paint that gets applied only to the top surface

the red V? it has a vanishing point 3d so it will not have a consistent angle to all of the 3d. This helps make it expand out rather than all come at the same direction.

Oooh. I would argue that you begin with the hardest to learn. Bubbly letters are way harder to get - compared to boxes. You still know ur sh*t and have emaculate teaching skills… so maybe just grab my comment as inspo if you decide to teach more about 3D and dropshadows… I teach it with to pens in the hand at the same time. Darwing cubes and rectangular boxes. Afterwards connecting and filling. It builds understand of 3D-space… bubbly letters is lesson 11 😄

Yeah having a vanishing point shadow is definitely a style for a single point light source. I guess I was more so speaking to a diffused uniform light source
