IISS Raffles Lecture: Strengthening cross regional security: Sweden and the Indo Pacific

During this IISS Raffles Lecture, Foreign Minister of Sweden Maria Malmer Stenergard discussed Sweden’s shifting policy approach towards the Indo-Pacific against a backdrop of global turbulence, and the opportunities ahead for cross-regional collaboration including through Sweden’s recently released national defence policy direction for cooperation with countries in the Indo-Pacific.
The lecture took place in Singapore on Wednesday 20 November 2024 at Raffles Hotel. Organised by IISS-Asia, the IISS Raffles Lecture series invites major figures in Asian and global affairs to Singapore to discuss important developments in the Asia-Pacific region. Held in the historic Raffles Hotel, the lectures convene an audience of prominent business leaders, diplomats and government officials along with experts in international affairs.
