aww thank thy lord of KZbin gave me a preview in my recommendations for this video, I am planning on redesigning my room and need a new bed and I saw this one on Ikea and fell in love with it because I wanted to store all of my shoes in a different place rather than my wardrobe so that i can have better place to move around. also seeing the fact that its still got storage pace behind it's draws that's another bonus for me because that way I could either move stuff that I dont use into boxes and place them in their and they will be hidden from eye line or use it for thing else. none the less watching this video has helped me to prepare for its arrival eventually

You can do it either way depending on which way you want the bed. Pretty set on this bed myself and for me, the place I want it, I would have to build it the other way.

I’m currently building this so here’s some tips, be aware of your surroundings one tip and it’s over and if you break an important spare part piece you have to restart for some states because you can’t switch out “kid” furniture spare parts, TWO make sure you build on a carpet ect cuz it might scratch break, make sure you know which board your putting on, lastly it’s probably better to use a screw gun instead of a screw driver for some parts

Hi! I just wanted to ask how the bedframe is now - If it's still going strong for you? Any creaking, or breakages that have come up? Also, if it is strong enough to be able to withstand two people on the bed? Thank you!

So far it is going great for me! Still sturdy and no cracks or creaking yet :) it is a little narrow for two people, but weight-wise i think it should be fine since the bed is so sturdily structured :)

I bought 2 of these beds, one for my daughter another for my son. I dont get if I did something wrong , but when assembling both befs I got stuck for a while on the exact same step, and took me ages to solve it. I cant even explain to you, but was related with the headboard when you need that 2 metal pieces to find eachoter insider the wooden, well even when aligned i couldnt attach those pieces and I didnt have any kind of problem with the exact same kind of pieces on other parts of the bed

Yes! And imagine i had to do this with a screwdriver LOL! I hope you had a drill at least to make the reassembly easier. Hope you got everything done alright!

can you switch the two boards? so that the headboard is where the footboard originally is on the pics (on ikea website)

Yep! I did that by mistake; the instructions comes with the left version and the right version as well depending on where you want you head and feet to be

I’m struggling so hard rn, I’m so close to giving up on this bed and just sleeping on the floor. It’s so complicated 😭 I’m so glad that I’m not in this alone with the assembly struggle.

Honestly it is not as soft as I wished it was. It is very bouncey; i suggest finding a softer mattress with the same thickness and size. 🥰

You could buy memory foam mattress that size on Amazon. Congratulations you did a great job. 👍

Is the headboard and lower board at the foot of the bed interchangeable? Like would I be able to mix it up and put the headboard on the other side?? And I realised after ordering that the drawers must be on the right side of the bed for it to work where my bed is placed in my room. Can the drawers/shelf ONLY be on the left side of the bed? Or is there the option of putting it on the right side?

Yes headboard and footboard are interchangeable! Yep! You can choose how and where to place them. It is all in the instruction manual; there are options if you want headboard on right or left; then there are instructions on when you want shelf on foot or head :) Best of luck!!

The mattress i got is a nice thickness but it is more bouncy than soft. Not the best for a bed frame with this height. I wanna change it out to a softer mattress one day.

I'm an adult in my 20s, I'm probably around 8 to 9 and a half stone and I was wondering if this bed would be able to take my weight plus my mattress? I'm in desperate need of a storage bed just like this as I have a tiny bedroom and need to make the most of storage space 🥺❤️

Oh yeah this is quite a sturdy bed. I even keep all my luggage in the free space inside the bed (there is a free space because the drawers do not go all the way in). You will just really need 2 people to put this up. I have a tiny bedroom too and i am so happy about this bed. It is quite high so small dogs might not be able to jump on it.

😅😅😅 thanks I got the HASVAG spring #60160217 but it is a little tougher than I’d like it to be. Very springy but not soft enough. Fits this particular bed nicely height-wise though. I am planning to get a memory foam topper or something like that.

Oh yeah, those little mattresses look like garbage in the inside. Just my opinion, but I would recommend you to get the Haugensund [medium-firm] instead of going for a topper. That way you'll get a (hopefully) better mattress for actually less money.

It does, but you won’t get any refunds back. As far as I know, ikea only give exchanges or store credit for returned mattresses.

I got those 20$ black metal baskets (PLEJA Wire basket with handle, black14 ¼x10 ¾x6 " (36x27x15 cm)) for the bedside shelVes. They fit fine. But books also look good in the shelves. Thank you so much for all your info! 👏👏

It is a little too deep for any mattress… you’ll need one that is thick enough so that the sides do not hit you when you climb on the bed. I suggest measuring it out to ensure it is thick enough

Hello, I am considering this bed frame, Would you say that the mattress that you bought to go with it is a good hight? Some reviews say about the bed needing a thinner mattress, what do you think?

Hi! Yes the mattress is a good height in my opinion. You could go SLIGHTLY thinner but make sure you measure the sides of the frame and compare it to the thickness of the mattress. If you go too thin and then go on the bed, you might feel the frame on the sides and that will hurt. Good luck!
