What is your view on the game now that all 3 volumes are out? I’m trying to decide whether to get Vol 2 and 3 or getting the very Highly recommended Wings over Flanders Fields which has a very deep dynamic campaign and more realistic AI.

I haven't been flying in over 1 year. So I don't know. I have just Volume 1. You don't need the other volumes to play online. It's just if you want another plane. But everyone is flying the OP planes like DR1 and Camel so... :p

I'm tempted to try this, what GPU would you recommend for 4K gaming? Only got a 1650 but it can handle Rise of Flight @ 1440p still.

Question to anyone who may help in Flying Circus....flying in career mode (off line) I run into this problem a good bit. My flight (I am not flight leader) takes off, and say our mission is balloon defense, we arrive at the balloon to be defended and here comes the enemy airplanes to attack our balloon. My flight just flies around stupidly as if there is no threat.....I can engage, but I am left as canon fodder, it's me against 8 enemy while my "buddies" fly around watching me die. Anyone else have this issue and is there a fix so my guys can man up and stop being cowards.

you can give your AI flight commands = "follow me, patrol, attack etc." Check out the controls options for this

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it!! I have got into the controls and have follow me and "attack nearest enemy" something like that, but I don't get result. ....Do I have to be the flight leader for these commands to take effect??? I still do not understand why my flight doesn't engage the enemy on it's own.@nomansland2305

@@barryjeter yeah, you must be flight leader. But the AI can be bugged. I haven't played this in over 1 year now

Have their been many improvements to the game since you made this video? Apart from the sharper textures and landscape details it overall seems like a downgrade compared to RoF. I'm always tempted to get this but even on sale it's hard to justify considering the smaller feature set.

No, it's basically the same engine. Theyd did improve some weather, cloud and lighting stuff. if you go on il2sturmovik.com you can check for updates

They have announced that a dynamic campaign should release this month, along with the release of flying circus volume 2.

@@mattst2717 yes, but the PWCG dynamic campaign generator is better. its third party and free. And you can already use that for Il2 FC volume 1
