Iliza Shlesinger hit comedy gold when she became the only woman and youngest comedian to be named NBC’s "Last Comic Standing" in 2008, and she’s been on the rise ever since. She has starred in several hit Netflix comedy specials and is the creator and star of "Forever 31" on Hulu and the late-night show "Truth & Iliza" on Freeform. On all platforms, she provides a mix of feminism, social commentary, on-point voices and characters, and a fresh take on the comedy scene.
Now, Shlesinger brings her signature wit to her new book, Girl Logic: The Genius and the Absurdity-we know it’ll be funny and insightful for both the men and women in the audience. Spend an evening with Iliza Shlesinger and get the inside scoop from one of comedy’s rising talents.

Rocket science isn’t hard it’s just Statics with some upper class thermodynamics. I majored in engineering first… being a female in engineering and then changing majors and being a woman wife mother sister everything is hard… it’s HARD. Love you❤️💕

I'm a 67 year old single male, I have a weird sense of humor and i love stand up comedians. I saw Iliza's Netflix special and loved her style, so I watched the other two specials as well. After that I click on her name whenever I see it. She's funny, original, her delivery, body language and facial expressions are on spot. I love her style of comedy and the topics she chooses to make fun of. I thought this would also be a stand up routine, but turned out to be more of an interview. I sat through the entire show and enjoyed hearing her thoughts and views. She is remarkable, a professional, she owns the stage and last but not least, she rocks the ponytail. Wish her a long successful career.

If a man came out there and talked right through the host and her questions you would call him an ass hole. Another female does it and you tell us what a strong woman she is. Iliza is actually funny when she's doing comedy. She's terrible at interviews, however.

Iliza comes across, as usual, poised, assured, confident, and of course, smart and bright. But who selected the child who is the moderator and why did they not tell her to just introduce and shut up. She giggles and says stupid things but adds little or nothing to the bit.

I'm gonna have to pop over to netflix and see if theres anything new by her on there.....remember when I first saw her I couldn't believe her shit....she was sooooo frickin funny......every time she did the raptor thing spontaneously in the middle of her dialogue I was in stitches.......binge watched all the stuff I could find by her and then did it again for days.....my stomach hurt so bad had to stop.....talk about talent beauty and just plain out and out kick-ass-ness.This lady s the cream de la cream of female stand up for me.And talk about intellect. When I kinda drifted off while she spoke and thought about her thought process and mind set to come up with her stuff....well honestly I was too busy in hysterics but inside my jaw just dropped in awe.Wonder what it'd be like to hang with her for a few....a.....days.....weeks?I bet she's just amazing to see in action....or not.I'd love to watch her work.Just such a .....whats the word I'm looking for?......like......dynamic personality.Like a force of nature.Very....very impressive.

Hilarious! As an intelligent, well-educated female I am liberal and agree with most of what she says.A few concerns about her ideas: It was my dream to serve the homeless, particularly the chronically mentally ill, but experience has taught me that chronically mentally ill people will refuse help due to paranoia and refusal to maintain themselves on medications, and become evicted repeatedly. It is heart-breaking. I know a local agency that was criticized for human trafficking because they asked female residents of a shelter to cook and clean their own and another shelter. I don't know anyone who doesn't have to work for a living to keep a roof over our heads, but I don't classify that as human trafficking.

I've started inviting people into my house whenever they show up, even though I'm not a great housekeeper. To only let other women in when my house is neat and clean is to "perpetuate the myth of my perfection". We need to give that shit up and just be human.

"Iliza Shlesinger thinks that cities should move homeless people to work camps in the desert." ROLF. The idea is good, but a lot of my interactions with the homeless seems to show more are drug-related homelessness than mental illness. Some homeless people do work, they just can't afford a regular place to live. Some refuse to live in shelters, "because there are too many rules." Homelessness is very much multi-faceted.

Many liberals are horribly intolerant of folks whose views differ from their own possibly because so many folks are so egocentric and take a lot personally when in reality most things in life aren’t really about them... she despises folks referring to females as girls (like when she was on Larry King) and usually speaks of ‘women’ but always says ‘boys’ when referring to males instead of honoring healthy masculinity and speaking of young ‘men’! As she grows into her 40s hopefully she will experience some humility and grow some gratitude...Btw Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger was an evil bitch who despised minorities and founded PP ad kind of convenient genocide for minorities... Do some research folks... ‘Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth!’ -Albert Einstein

It was a bit just like the part where she says everyone around her is stupid. Being anti abortion means you refuse to give women a choice even if the pregnancy would kill the mom or leave the child in agony with a short lifespan at birth. Being pro life can mean that you accept sometimes (for medical or health reasons) you understand it is nessicary to abort. I am pro choice, because I don't think it is anyone's business what women do with their own bodies and it is a slippery slope between "well you can only have an abortion because....." to "you can NEVER have an abortion even if it will kill you to keep the pregnancy"

From the first time I saw her on the Joe Rogan podcast I did not want to like her. I found her to be conceited, smug and damned attractive. She continually pointed out her positives and every mans negatives. Since seeing her on the Rogan show I've watched many of her stand up routines. The absolute intellectual crazy in her is the greatest kind of aphrodisiac for me. Of course it doesn't hurt that she is an extremely good looking woman. I think I would like to be a friend of her fiancé. He absolutely has to be a very together person. She seems to have an ability to make people comfortably relaxed. She's exactly who she is.

The are. This, from a guy. Women have a limited period of desirability, say, 15 through somewhere in her 30's. After 35, it plummets. It's not mens fault, it's not women's fault. they're a victim of nature.

@38:04: She's so beyond thoughtful and calculated in a way that could fly past you as she runs her skits and jokes past you. That said, in all seriousness: We've all made mistakes, and put ourselves before others to the extent that we step on them, and done the wrongs we wouldn't want done to us. And, we don't have the peace but the chaos that ensues as we wade through life. But, God loved us despite that in His beautiful way, though mankind has forgotten Him and intentionally will turn their eyes from Him as our we drown in our own darkness and the invisible things that we rationalize away until we're the unlucky one who "looses their mind" or ends up drugging ourselves and drinking away our pains or the darkness... And, if life existed without this God that we've forgotten, then there would be only darkness, and it would be miserable and pointless. But, believe me, when He touches your life, if we humble ourselves and just admit to our dark ways and choose to turn away from them, we'll see Light and finally have PEACE. And, this peace comes from the Prince of Peace, the God of the universe you've been running from. His name is Yeshua, the Lord God Adonai. He is the God of the Jews, the God who made a covenant with your forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God who buried Moses. He, in his beauty, in His holiness, and His love, scandalously left heaven to robe himself in flesh to be scorned by us all and still die for us. There is a reason why the rabbis and ancient Jews, your ancestors, gave "sin offerings" for their wrongs. And, God, scandalously became a sin offering for you, and for the rest of us all, so he came like a lamb being lead to the slaughter, to die for our sins, the ultimate sin offering, the ultimate passover lamb. The Gentiles were blessed through the Jews because God became a man through the line of the Jews, descending from King David (דָּוִד), son of Jesse, just as it was foretold by Isaiah (Yesha'ayahu). God loved us even in our darkness. God loves you. May the readers of these words be blessed. Please excuse the intrusion, but your soul is on the line. (NOW... "ACCEPT JESUS AS YAR LORD AND SAVIOUR OR YAR GOIN' TO HAELL!" (just kidding...but seriously, watch out! I heard hell is hot... And, it probably doesn't have pinterest either! :O) :D)
