0:00 - Reading text and opening prayer. 2:05 - What will our focus be? 4:01 - Titus 1:1, godliness is tied together with knowledge of the faith. 8:19 - Often, the problem is not a lack of knowledge, but rather the knowledge does not change who they are (Titus 1.16). 9:47 - First, stand firm in the faith. 14:53 - Sometimes, there is almost a shunning of biblical knowledge, making ignorance appear the humble path. 18:43 - We need steadfast men. 21:02 - Ephesians 6 - stand firm 22:48 - "Play the man." 24:06 - Second, knowledge must produce godly conduct. 25:06 - Young men, how is your conduct? Do people imitate it or despise you for it? 27:33: - Be dignified - worthy of respect. 32:12 - Be self-controlled - don't be mastered by anything. 36:36 - Better to speak properly in the first place than having to always apologize. 38:46 - Self-control in the realm of purity. 40:07 - How to be more godly? Exhortations on being godly often lead people to try harder to be holy in their own strength. 46:04 - Sanctification is not by the law but by faith. 51:29 - My point? The power comes from the Spirit alone, so cast yourself upon the Lord for help. 54:34 - Closing prayer.

I like what I see in the audience; boys and men of all ages. As soon as a boy is old enough to reason and comprehend, he is ready ro receive instruction in the ways of Biblical manhood.

I sure wish he would have called out the man who wrote the book saying that we're sanctified by works of the law.

52:18 - 52:39 so if I try to live a life of good conduct and godliness in my own strength, it'll turn out just the opposite :O Guess that means ya try to love, it becomes hate; try to bear fruit, thorns and briers spring up; try to be self-controlled, whatever the thing is controls you instead. Hmm... maybe it's that "try not to think about pink elephants" effect.

Whenever im trying to be humble I often succeed but only by the grace of God given me. But when I should do the will of God, I find that im so far from that as to be in my flesh( which is far from God). But when i remember as Christ said where my blessings flow from I am able to do the will of God: thanksgiving, sanctification, wisdom, and suffering with joy even. Because it is not me it is God within me. John 16:13 And when the Spirit of Truth comes he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of him self, but whatsoever he heareth that will he speak. John 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine and shew it you. So the Spirit is not only the one who opens our eyes and teaches us, it is the one working in us to do the work of Christ, which is to glorify God the Father

Pride arises when we consider ourselves to be the root of our good deeds. After all, the fruit of the Spirit is only wrought by the Spirit. Be careful not to be ignorant of the words of Christ in John 15:5.

1 Corinthians 13:2 -3 means one can have faith that move mountains yet cast into hell at the end. It also says one may surrender his body to the flames or hardship or self control yet cast into hell. If so *Who give faith* to an unsaved person to move mountains?? *Who give grace* to a reprobate to surrender his body to flames and hardship? Who give grace to an unsaved person to escape from the corruption of the world and later to return to its own vomit like a dog and cast into hell? (2 Peter 2:20-22)

What version is he reading from? I’ve looked at a couple different ones and they did not say act like men.
