you should read VERITAS, is a printed manhwa and the artists (whose name I forget) uses a style that is both realistic and very anime and dynamic at the same time in webcomic I'd like to see your opinion on God of highschool and its use of colored lineart and gradients for dramatic effects also long panels like in chapter 364 (or 362 depending how you count) no spoilers there don't worry

Another excellent video! You know maybe for a really fun and somewhat obscure illustrator reacts could be Hanna-Barbara cartoons. I think the best ones that are akin to your style would have to be Samurai Jack, Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, and Teen Titans (2003).

When I first encountered Solo Levelling, I was hesitant to red it since I thought the artwork of the cover was too good to and I also didn't feel interest at first. Oh boi, was I ever wrong. Each time a new chapter is published I scream like a little girl in excitement as I love how the story progresses and how amazing it looks.

At first, the healer girl at the start kind of threw me off as I thought it would become a soppy romance comic but as soon I saw the story developing further and further, and Jin woo becoming more badass and colder as a person (just how I love my protagonists), I became more and more hooked to Solo levelling. Like as soon as he started growing up and becoming more op, that pretty much sealed the deal as it being a good manwha . The art is also so amazing and Jin woo is hot lol. So far, there has been no soppy romance as well. However, it would be interesting to see some romance mingled into this manwha, idk if it will happen tho.

Haruko Ichikawa and Inio Asano are tied for my number 3 favorite manga artist/writer combo spot. With Tsutomu Nihei (Blame!) and Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira) being interchangeable for the first and second spot. The manga artist who goes by the name VOFAN is another artist I feel like you'd enjoy both for his art quality and his amazing ability to tell a story in as few images as possible (most famous for his art in the Monogatari light novels). VOFAN's artbook "Colorful Dreams" is truly worth checking out if not just for the amazing art, then also for the sometimes surreal and always daydreamy like stories told in the art and just a few lines of dialogue/description.

Some manga artists in japan have "assistants" to help them with minor details like backgrounds/ environment so maybe that's the reason why Attack on titans' architectural design is much better then the main characters.

I think you should check out manhwa "The breaker" and i honestly. Believe that the biggest reason "Solo leveling" became so popular is art. I read webnovel of it, and while i personally found it okay, nothing made it stand out from other KR novels. But whover drew the manhwa for this novel made it work so well.

If you want to check out an artist improving like crazy, I recommend checking out Tower of God. The early art has turned some people away from the series, but the improvements between season 1, 2 and 3 are astounding. Current art is easily on par with Solo Leveling with Tower of God imo having one of the best Webtoon arts to date.

The artstyle of Solo Leveling is actually based on modern webtoon artstyle. Some of my favorite artsyles of same genre are: Divine Realm Online - This has the best art that i have seen in any webtoon Outlaws: Epic art. Great story too A returner's Magic should be special: Great art and one of the best stories My wife is a demon queen: again great art and a really good story(if you like isekai person using science to comprehend magic and becoming OP then is for you. Like Knights and Magic or Kenja no mago) Release that witch - Same science + magic theme + Great art style And now if you are looking for one with a very unique artstyle then go for Askr Yggdrasil's Wood(not a webtoon though) They do good fight scenes in "God of Martial Arts" Manhua too. It has been changed to webtoon style now as well because of the art resemblance These are all colored one^^

I love the shut-in neet genre of mangas(like Lonely Attack on Different World, How not to summon a demon lord, etc) and this one is the best out of the best in it. And also has that "isekai but you can return to your world anytime" thing so some unique stuff. (Along with the epic visuals, fight scenes and mana logic)

14:25 In Her Summon, while the other world is bright and vibrantly illustrated, our world is depicted in almost greyscale. Something interesting I noticed there, was that in these very low contrast panels/scenes the artist used cool greys for the background/envt. and warm greys for the characters, so that there was never any difficulty differentiating the two, or depicting/highlighting the characters. It also added a sense of devide between organic and inanimate, and I thought this was a simple, very subtle touch, with a huge benefit. The main character, who has dark clothes and hair and pale skin to start with, naturally gives a sense of transition between worlds when he is summoned. The Demons also have their own grim palette.

Soon as you were talking about over-the-top muscles in the preview, I KNEW it would be about Baki, haha. Anyhow, for suggestions I'd recommend a look at Hello Hellper, another manhwa. You mentioned how manhwa artists have to alter composition and work differently due to the scrolling reading style, and that's one thing I think that series truly excels at leaning into, especially for fight scenes (I'd look at the later chapters because it takes some time to find its footing). Oh yeah, and Tamen de Gushi is pretty cute and good at showing inner cityscapes.

I refuse to criticize hajime isayama for his art. He has improved VERY MUCH and the art in the most recent chapters have been Fantastic. His action panels are also very special. Next you should check out Makoto Yukimura (Vinland saga) one of my favorites.

If Hiro Mashima could improve from his early Rave art (they almost axed his story with how bad the art was 2 years in) then Isayama can improve as well. He has monthly chapters so he draws comparatively less than the ones who have weekly releases so his art doesn't improve as fast. The story is enough to keep you invested anyway. Look at Shuichi Shigeno. His art hasn’t improved much from Initial D but people still read MF Ghost.

Lemme be straight about this . I read attack on Titans and it was incredible art wise and story wise . Western artists have an different style for comics which are mostly similar and they don't like manga art style . If you say the art style for one piece is bad , no it isn't , it's kind of a consistent style not definitely realism . Western artists are too much into realism and that's kind off a bubble they created for themselves .

Yeah, I think it will be good, too, to look into reincarnation theme/ female oriented works like "Suddenly became a princess on day", "Beware fo the villainess" and more. "Suddenly became a princess on day" has more like a pastel colors and thin line art(i don't know how it it called), while artstyle of "Beware fo the villainess" resembles SL(i haven't read SL, though) but it is less vivid colors, I guess.

Same goes for stuff like One Punch Man. The original artwork is made by Murata, who's basically a god of drawing. When they make the anime, they have to work a lot to even get close to the quality of the manga. That's why you can't rush it.

About the Titans in Attack on Titan: the effect you're talking about them is called the uncanny valley. I'd actually like for you to comment on Isayama's use of framing to imply emotion or atmosphere where it's difficult without animation or soundtrack. Granted, it's not an original concept, but I think he does that very well and the other other series that I can think off the top of my head that had a similar impact was The Promised Neverland.

There are a lot of references to other franchises as well. There is a lot of dark souls designs taken for the living armor as well as the dragon from what I can remember from the top of my head.

So, one single recommendation - this one is a must: Shinichi Sakamoto. The guy's drawings are pure magic. He's done a manga about a climber (Kokou no Hito) and a 2-part series about the head executioner of the French Revolution (Innocent and Innocent Rouge). Both have outstanding art. Incredibly detailed, very expressive, quite artsy. To me, no one compares to Sakamoto. Aside from Inio Asano and Takehiko Inoue. There's also a great documentary about Sakamoto and his creation process on KZbin. It's on the channel "Archipel" and at around 20 minutes, a short watch too. Gives some really great insight about what Sakamoto values as an artist, how he does research, has his assistants get in costumes and mimic poses that he later integrates into his drawings. Just all around fascinating. Also talks about why doesn't use SFX-overlays in his art and how he still tries to evoke certain sounds in the minds of his audience. Definitely recommend you watch that.

If you check both two novels, you're probably able to find more than 60 episodes has really similar storylines. And also wmmap' writer also had plagiarized charges before and also that novel had suspicion of characters' incest. And yoonseul still has pain of cyberbullying which she had by fandom of wmmap.

Oosawa Yuusuke is making a SPIDER-MAN series call ''FAKE RED'' with Marvel which have amazing draws but the most important with a lot of re-design of the characters (especially the villains) and my god mysterio looks fucking incredible and i never liked very much the other designs, and the plot is quite good too. One thing I love about manhwa is how some artists use motion lines. Sometimes as you scroll down, there will be motion lines that will trick your eye into perceiving movement, which is an awesome optical illusion when coupled with fast paced action.
