The music for the highlights is back!!!! I love it. Btw. The pivot thing. The last example I saw from u, he lifted his pivot slightly, the put it back down and stepped through. Some call it shuffle I think. That is a travel. What reaves did was fine though.

They changed the rules on traveling from years ago. You could lift your pivot foot as you jump or pass the ball like Murray did. You could not lift your pivot foot and take another step like reaves did or change pivot foots like Jokic in the 4th. I played since the 80s and refs always called that a travel. Now they dont call much a travel.

The Austin Reeves one was more or less the perfect example of the step through that NBA is allowing, it should be a travel, and it isn't and will 99% of the time not get called. I think that is what we all should accept. And the defending players should adjust to that being the case in time. The Murray example was just a regular two step drive, he was still tapping the ball and his first step was the pivot around the defender, it wouldn't be a travel in any point in history of the NBA.

Nah bro it is a travel, you just convinced yourself it isn't because you see it in the NBA all the time. The league ia entertainment first, so they allow players to break the rules (gather/zero step) or straight up not call moving your pivot foot 3 time in a row for the sake of entertainment. Real basketball where competitive integrity and fairness comes first it's two steps with the ball and you don't move your pivot foot to make a "step through".

Thanks for pointing out the Reaves play. Ppl just don't understand the travelling rules lol. To not travel is basically that you have to release the ball before putting the pivot back down (for example everyone clearly lifts the pivot foot during a layup, but the ball releases before the pivot coming back down thus not a travel, and it's the most common basketball move). It's never that one can't lift the pivot foot.

Also, I’ve been trying to figure out how Lebrons game has declined recently, but have never been able to point to anything specific because he seems to put up the same stat line he always has? During that game last night though, I finally figured it out: Lebrons championship teams have always taken on LBJ’s personality at the defensive end, so when he digs in defensively, his team follows suit. However, what I realized last night is that Lebron no longer has the athleticism needed to consistently and effectively move laterally on defense and as a result he’s no longer capable of setting the tone defensively. Sure, he’s still capable of digging in defensively on certain possessions, but he can’t do it consistently anymore. Jamal Murray, Jokic and MPJ had Lebron on skates last night, and there was nothing he could do about it. And unfortunately for Lebron, the fast twitch muscle needed to sustain lateral movement, deteriorates with age, so no amount of training will help him rediscover that ability.

But you can see how Denver is a group, they love each other and they play defense together, helping big honey defensive wise and big honey pays back serving assist everywhere, they're really fun to watch.
