We do not have to be defined by our differences. Instead, we can choose to be defined by our love for one another as human beings. Truly inspiring!

I love how they pass the card to the next person, and it's the "label" that they both share. Mitch and Scott are both LGBTQ+, Scott and Avi are both men, Avi and Kevin are both American, Kevin and Kirstie are both Christians. All these different people with different voices coming together to make beautiful music.

I liked the John Lennon song from way back but absolutely love the Pentatonix version. Great song, great message, and Sway, you're adorable! Great reaction. I'm so glad when reactors do this video. Although the card held by each is personal to each, when they hand it over to the next, that is the 'similarity' between them. The meaning is so much deeper than a lot of reactors realise. Then, the 'wall of sound' shows that the differences make no difference. 5 individuals can harmonise (harmonize in American spelling(see the difference there)) so beautifully, that it makes no difference. We are all HUMAN.

I love how they show the cards with their "labels", move into the section where they all sing the wildly different parts that still sound so good together.... and resolve to a single note on the word "one".....they add touches like that all the time, adding meaning to what they sing by how they sing it - just genius! 😔📏Here to defend Avi ..Avi is 5'10" ...Mitch is 5'10" but he is wearing very thick soled shoes.. Kirstie is 5'4" but look at the platforms on her shoes!!...AND anyone standing next to Scott looks short because he clocks in at 6'3"🦒 but I often think he is taller than that even, when he stands next to Kevin who is 6'....in the end of the video you see Avi, Kirstie and Mitch look more even in their height..👌☺️

So glad you reacted to this song after working through the Sing Off and many of their songs and getting to know them a bit. So some back story. This video came out in March of 2017. Just after the initial shock of Trump winning, horrific inauguration speech and then the Muslim ban that got every decent person on their feet to protest. So when this was released, there were a lot of reactors and viewers of reactors like me crying our eyes out. The diversity of PTX member voices is what creates amazing harmonies. I think how each individual member loves different kinds of music (Avi - was studying opera and loves folk; Kirstie - JLO and pop; Scott - R&B and country; MItch - EDM; Kevin - classical) helps them in their styling and unusual and fresh blends. (Their tastes have grown even more since because they all love to learn.) As you noted the signs said something about themselves but also when one person handed their sign to the next person, the sign read something those two people have in common. There may be someone who follows me that whines about keeping politics out of it but I'm just telling you the timing had a lot of impact on a lot of the listeners, viewers of this video and I believe in the way they decided to present it. Diversity makes us stronger, better, more beautiful.

Yes. It is beautiful that they each represent their individuality with their cards, but when they pass it to the next person, it represents how they are the same. It's so subtle, that their commonalities are missed. But in the end, they are all just like us all. I always cry...Every Single Time..at that amazing chord right before the pause near the end. I think it's super funny if you Google their heights, it says Kevin and Avi are the same height. Um, no Kevin and Scott are the same height at 6'3" lol. But then again it also says Mitch is 5'10" which is laughable. Avi isn't 5'11" either like they state, he's closer to 5'9-5'10".

Jessica Thomas yeah google has it all wrong haha. Scott has said before that he’s about 6’4”, but if it weren’t for his scoliosis he’d be taller. Mitch is also taller than he looks, it’s just we usually only see him next to Scott so he appears shorter.

Avi and Mitch are both around 5’10”, but they don’t look it stood next to Scott (who is something like 6’4”) and Kevin (also over 6’). This is why Kirstie, who is 5’4”, wears such ridiculously high heeled shoes all the time. She’s an entire foot shorter than Scott, which just looks awkward when they’re all together.

Avi's not that short. He's 5'11". Both Mitch and Kirstie are wearing platform shoes, making them look much taller than they really are. Mitch is 5'10", so he's an inch shorter than Avi. Kevin is listed as 6', but is really 6'1" or 6'2" and Scott is between 6'3" and 6'4". Kirstie is listed as 5'4", but I have it on good authority that she's closer to 5'. Matt is about the same height as Kevin.
