Freddie probably built up alcholol intolerance at this stage from endless touring and rnr lifestyle.

Times gone by when music was pure inspiration, lyrics pure poetry and heavenly voices. Glad to be grown during that golden era.

Freddie has four extra teeth in the back of his mouth, which enables him to open his throat farther than most. That's why he didn't get his teeth fixed, he thought it might take away his marvelous range. Asked what his favorite instrument was to play: Freddie grinned and said "The audience, darling!!" Watch Live Aid, 1985, to see audience control on a whole new level!! Never to be repeated, always missed. ❤❤ to Queen for all their genius music and singing!!

I watched this live when it initially aired and as long as I live will never tire of watching the scene right after Radio Gaga where Freddie gets that Wembley audience to sing at his direction. Every time I see it I am reminded of seeing Freddie being interviewed, decades ago, and the reporter asked him what instrument he plays, and he responded, "The audience, darling!" I will never stop missing the great Freddie Mercury!! 🥲

you dont find this talent because they may be godly, better than Freddie (if that was possible) - but its all about the looks now. Freddie would be rejected because of his teeth bacause he wouldnt change them since he believed it gave him his range, Brian May because his hair is just frizzy like that, John Deacon for not looking animated enough and Roger for not looking tattooed enough. and they would never accept autotuning. these days they could make a monkey sing in tune, someone you never see wrote the lyrics and someone else the music, and no band in sight - just some backing singers and a troupe of dancers around a solitary, tuned out of existence mime artist who looks like a supermodel. and it all sounds and looks formulaic - because its just show and no substance. too choreographed and all exactly the same every time.

brian may said they couldnt actually hear each other on the night so this is all about knowing each other well too. and Freddie had a sore throat too.

Not a Queen crowd - they weren't even on the bill until the last moment so no legions of Queen fans. Freddie had a cold and doctors said "don't risk that multi-octave voice" but it was for charity so on they went. The best act of the concert (which raised a fortune) but the very best and they were up against some heavy hitting crowd favourites. Freddie wasn't born to be a star, he was born to be a legend. Very best concert of my life (and yes, I'm 62 now and still love listening to this).
