Master Fard Muhammad was a person who grew up poor and experienced racism at its worst. That's why he was filled with so much hatred for white people. He called them the "skunks" of the planet Earth. Knowing that black people were very religious people, Fard lied to them by pretending to be their "saviour" from the East and a direct descendent of the Arab prophet, Muhammad. To further that deception, Wallace Fard added "Muhammad" as his last name. After Detroit police found out about this fraud, Wallace Fard was run out of Detroit and warned not to return. Fard disappeared in 1934 and was never seen again. Muhammad Abdullah was not Fard and Warithuddin Mohammed eventually admitted that Abdullah was not Fard. Warithuddin made up the repentment story and other stories hoping to ease the members into true Islam. They had believed Fard was Allah for 44 years and that Elijah Muhammad was the last messenger of Allah. Warithuddin Mohammed felt he had to find a way to gradually deconstruct those false teachings. Claiming that Fard repented was one of the many methods he used.

With all due respect, Warith Deen Mohammed stated that Mohammed Abdulla NEVER told him he was once known as W.D. Fard. Furthermore, he didn't even say he bothered to ask him if he was. Yet, he convinced himself that Mohammed Abdulla was WD Fard and didn't offer one shred of evidence as proof of his claim. He simply wanted the people to equate what he stated as an actual fact. Has anyone reading this comment ever heard of critical analysis and critical thinking? What about the scientific method? He did essentially say that the Nation of Islam hadn't accomplished much since it's inception in the wilderness of North America. Well, compare what it had accomplished under the direct leadership of W.D. Fard and Elijah Muhammad to what Orthodox Islam has accomplished for black people in the Wilderness of North America. Remove your personal feelings and biases from the equation and be completely objective. Orthodox Islam claims to be monotheistic, yet the Quranic teachings regarding Allah's creation of the Universe read: WE created the heavens and the Earth. Also, if Allah is not a person why is the Islamic Supreme Being always referred to as HE in the Quran? I have been to Saudi Arabia and asked Muslim leaders who or what is Allah and the best confusing answer I received was " Allah is unique." How's that for a mystery God concept and teaching? At the very least, W.D. Fards message is relative to the issues black people in the United States are confronted with every day in modern times. Lastly the term Riqaq, a condition of servitude that differed greatly from western slavery was practiced during the time of Prophet Muhammad.
