First of all It's not about being taught to hate someone in particular. It's our deen Islam that teaches us to love the Prophet Mohammad (SA) and his holy progeny. And Islam teaches us to hate the oppressors and enemies of Prophet Mohammad (SA) and his progeny. When you have enough evidence of mischief and oppression done by someone to them, you will hate him/her by your own. You don’t really need to be taught by someone. Let me tell you something. I was not a Shia Muslim from the beginning, rather I was reverted to it. I and my family used to be sunni muslims, following Hanafi Madhab. Thorough study and investigation made us take our decision. No one influenced us, we studied with our free-will and identified who were the real enemies of the Prophet Mohammad (SA). We got educated by our self-studies and learnt whom to love and whom to hate. And you know which books we did study at that time? Here's what interesting is, we only studied the books from sunni reference (Sihah sittah and others), and those books were good enough to find the truth about the untold islamic history and to tear away the masks of the Munafiqs. It's not that we do not love the Sahabas, rather we love them more than our lives. But only the righteous ones. There were thousands of companions of our beloved Prophet (SA), you can not justify all of them as righteous, whereas Allah warns the Prophet Mohammad (SA) about the hypocrites in Sura Munafiqun. So how can we love all of them! It's our duty to know their identities and hate them. In short, the idea is very simple. The companions who were present in the Janaza of Rasulullah (SA) were the righteous ones. And those who were absent in the Janaza and were busy in 'Saqifa-e Bani Saida' were the hypocrites or munafiqs. Now find out who they were. No need to read any shia books. Go through the most popular books from Ahle sunnah. You will find the truth. The only condition is that you have to be honest with yourself, non-biased and have a neutral point of view when make any judgement.

If you read the quran Allah curses the jews and the christians. May be you have been raised to love the sahaba by your grand mufti but we need to first see what Allah says about the sahaba. There are many verses in the quran where Allah tells us that some of the sahaba were hypocrites. I can't mention all today due to time. The surah of the hypocrites. Surah Al Taubah Allah says "You Muhammad do not know them, but we know them and we will punish them twice." Also if you read surah Al Taubah, Allah sends his serenity upon the prophet and the true believers. Now go to where the verse of the cave. "Had diven him out of Mecca, HE WAS ONE OF TWO, AND HE SAID TO HIS COMPANION, DO NOT FEAR, INDEED ALLAH IS WITH US, SO ALLAH SENT HIS SERENITY UPON HIM AND SUPPORTED HIM.WITH ANGELS WHICH YOU DID NOT SEE". HERE why does Allah not send his serenity upon Abu Bakar? Allah is showing us that those who fear are not true believers. He is fearing in the cave. Read the rest of this surah to see the hypocrite sahaba who did not want to help participate in the war. Also you need to read your sunni ahadeeths Bukhari and other's to see that these sahaba were not loyal or rightly guided They arw killing, disobeying rasoollah and Allah and raising their voices. In your books which were forged by the ummayads the status of the sahaba is higher than rasoollah, which anyone will see is wrong. Also there were many wars after rasoollah, the sahaba caliphs wers forcing and killing people by the sword. According to quran you can invite people but you can't force or kill them. Read in your bukhari whers rasoollah says some of his sahaba will be in hell. Also in bukhari rasoollah curses Muawiyah, rasoollah curses the sahaba, then so can we. I don't think he cursed, this is yet again another forged ahadeeth against rasoolllah. "Whoever makes Fatima angry, makes me angry." Abu bakar in Bukhari makes Fatima angry. They also brought in to power all the enemies of rasoollaah. According to.the quran those who do wrong, you have to speak out against them, but your mufti praise them. I can mention morw not much time.
