I JUST purchased a Galil Ace rifle in 7.62 NATO because of YOUR videos! ;) I paid a tad more than I would have liked, but after that blem deal about 2-3 months ago for $1000, everything seems expensive! I paid $1450 for a NEW version, so I'm hoping I got a decent deal and hoping I love it!

I paid about $1900 for mine back when they first came out and don't regret it. $1450 is still a great deal for that rifle imo. - Jay

Just put another 400 rounds through mine today. Beat the hell out of me and i loved it. Such a solid rifle. Always brings people in at the range wondering wtf is making the noise

i love my 2 5.56mm galil aces. great shooting guns and they do everything i need them to do. one thing to bring up, the gas system on the ace carbines brought into the US are using the SAR length piston and gas system. making them more of an ace 22 n model. i did covert my second one to be an ace 22 clone and yes it was totally worth it!

KNS Precision needs to maks a adjustable piston for the galil ace.. I cant run the Deadair pbs1 wolverine on my galilace pistol x39 Without any hiccups.. Such an awesome package.. However the fact that it is picky on mags instantly drops it from a 5 star to 4 star. No Drums??? Come on now. Killing me smalls. Stock trigger isnt bad but I got the Galil ALG trigger which is a dream BTW. Wish the rails in the front were about an inch longer, you can barely put an angled foregrip on the bottom. A bit does stick foward. Legion USA has a Break I use for the galil It is a Sterla Flash suppressor and it works wonders.. especially if it is the pistol version (which is the one I have in x39) And the Side blast too. Ppl at the Range or your buddies will appreciate it. I wish it had LSBHO like the 556 models. This was my Pick for Thunder Ranch

The only issue I have with the Galil Ace (SAR) 7.62X39 carbine is the weight. These IWI offerings are solid great shooters.

I just bought a galil ARM parts kit. My intention is to convert a ACE carbine to a galil AR configuration with the pistol grip, stock, mag release, trigger guard, bolt carrier, top cover, and gas tube. Do you know of any snags i might come in to and do you know if the original bolt carrier is compatible?

Maybe it's just late but I'm not even positive I realized IMI and IWI were different until now. I think when I read it, my mild dyslexia was at work. I think, I always read the M and the W to be one and the same and never connected any dots. Weird........

great video, as always. Think you made a good choice, as much as i love the micro. Youre missing out on the .308 pistol. Its hilarious, and you dont need to hit anything to enjoy it. I know i dont. As a civilian this 12" .308 checks all the boxes for me.

Hey Misha, Quick question: In your opinion, which AK platform rifles are the most reliable with 5.56 x45? The ACE? The Polish Beryl Archer? I remember you saying that the Bulgarian SLR 106 was very good, but they have occasional bobbles. Thanks!

Honestly? I don't really consider the Galil or Ace AK platforms. Sure they use the same operating system but in many other ways they are different. So with that said, Polish Beryl is by far the best that we've had. What of say the Zastava M21? Well, we've never had those here so....

Id keep the micro just because it has that classic sleek look. Im not a big fan of rails as I dont use optics and mainly rely on iron sights.

I would rather have a Beryl or even one of the new Zastava AKs if I was on the market for a 5.56x45 AK. I would rather have an original South African R4 or R5 if I wanted a Galil. I would rather have a Bren 2 if I wanted probably the best 7.62x39 military rifle available today.
