Good vid! Just like to point out (as a multi-daw user) that the Scene Launcher working side by side with standard linear arrange view is far more a Bitwig thing than Ableton. In Live you can only look at one view or the other: clips or arrangement. Just giving credit to the ‘Wig where it’s deserved! 😊

Forget Stem Seperation and Forget Splice ... as a sample maker and musician myself, THE BEST FEATURE IS THE GLOBAL TRANSPOSE . will no longer be using the Waves PitchShifter 😭. But shout out to the Splice Intergration and the Loop Launcher though.. needed.😂 I am still on S1 v5 and v7 is totally worth the upgrade and something I hope to get someday

As an Ableton user, I think the way S1 has integrated the timeline and clips is cool. Also, Splice integration directly in the app looks cool. Using the separate app is OK but breaks flow. Also, stem separation is dope (though Logic does that really well).

The Scale is my favorite update as you can create the ones they don’t have listed like Lydian mode. Global transpose is also useful. Splice integration I would use for the same reason you use it for which is percussion and drum loops. Considering Buying the perpetual license because paying for splice and studio one plus is already too much 😅. Thanks for sharing!

Great video as always man, gald You are back. This is one of the best videos showing the new features. I like that the beatmaker/producer have and update, great feature for that job.. I just wish the lancher works on the show page to cause now they implemented for arrangment and ideas, but not to play live, i Guess its not so hard to also Made the launcher avialable in the show page. And the also it Will be great if the search by sound work with SO/ SO+ loops and samples to, cause now it only works with splice ( that You need to pay extra)

I love your reviews. The new Studio One 7 Stem separation is amazing with a clean breakdown without too much artifacts. I also love the Scene feature that emulates Ableton. You can easily arrange and place the desired playlist at your finger tips especially if you are a remixer like myself. Studio One 7 has always developed features that are professional and user friendly. Also when you drag on Samples from Splice you can re-tune it at the bottom or stretch , Halftime . Or double the Sample. I would love to review and receive a copy of Studio One 7 especially after going through Hurricane Milton here in Florida. Love your channel ! Thanks

Global transpose is the best feature----this is so cool. Studio One uses complex mathematical algorithms that analyze the audio file and resamples it to change the pitch but leaving the time tempo information unchanged. I can't wait to try this on vocals and guitars using separate control for formants in the Inspector panel. I'm also interested to use this feature in sound design to pitch-shift audio up and down......and also to use in vocal production to add harmony layers without needing to record additional takes. I'm super excited about this Global transpose feature in the new Studio One Pro 7.

What do you mean by this? So it searches sounds you don't own and then how does it work? You have to pay for it with your credits before you can bring it into Studio One to use it can you sample it before you buy it?

@@LFiers You can use anything splice has in their library and you can use 100 loops a day from splice. They stay in your project even if you cancel. But you don't get credits to actually own and download the loops to use forever in whatever songs you want to use them in. I was just saying that I wish this cool tool they added to Studio One would also let me show it where other loops that I own and purchased outside of splice are on my PC so that I could browse them too and use them with the functionality of the built-in splice feature.

@@shanelanfordOk so you're allowed to demo any sample and put it into your projects but to actually use it you have to spend a credit on it right? I was worried you would have to spend credits for each sample you want to demo in your projects. At least that gives you a way to see if it fits in your project before purchasing it with a credit. I think I understand what you're saying. So you can't see your already downloaded samples basically right? So what if you come across a sample you already own and you don't know and then you go to use it, will another credit get used up? Lastly, can you do stacks? Like have AI search for 4 or 5 different samples that complement each other rather than just the work you have in your project? Like say if you were starting fresh, could you load up like a stack to give you ideas? You can do that in the app or website so I'm wondering if you can do that in the DAW. Thanks

Hi Ivan, there are quite a few interesting new features but not all of them concern me. My favorite is probably the key transposition, it's probably the one I'll use the most when I upgrade to V7. And the visual improvement in general seems cool too. In fact the bus impact and its integration are good too. And the tempo.... Well finally there are a lot of them :)

This S1 clip launcher is definitely more intuitive than the one on Ableton. It can really help with ideas if you're in a bit of a rut and struggling to get creative (which is me at the moment). Much more flexible and I like that you can work on both arrange window and clips side by side. Definitely my favourite feature.

Presence & Impact definitely gave me a next level positive vibe. If I'm not mistaken in the video, it looks like you can add your own samples in Presence for sound design. The Loop feature is genius. The tempo track features are huge time saver. All of this is huge!! Awesome upgrades

Something I've always wanted as an added feature that I saw in a separate device last year, although I think you can just design it into the DAW without needing a physical device, is an option to sing or vocalize a beat and the program will analyze your voice, and then you can tell it what samples or sounds you want it to sound like in real time. I guess you can say it would be like a Beat boxer opt plugin.

Favorite new thing is just the way everything looks in arrangement mode now, more cells than flat blocks is nice. But favorite new feature so far is the scale mode. I've been using the beatmakers toolbar, which has helped with that, but with the new scale mode too, I can fold away the unused keys, which just makes it easy for me to see along with tbmtb. So many other new ones I'm loving, but I use that one almost constantly.
