IMM 0008 - Generic Application Form for Canada - Online Spousal Sponsorship

IMM 0008 is the first form we are filling in this video series. We have addressed all common issues such as document expiry dates, which address to be filled, saving the webforms as PDFs, etc.
This video is to guide you all who wants to fill IMM 0008 form without any confusion.
I am not any authorized or licensed IRCC official. I sponsored my wife to Canada recently , and this is how I filled my form IMM0008. My wife bacame PR in 2022.

Thanks for the info, just my comment if your wife as main applicant, then you have to choose add dependent for you. Then you fiil all your information.

If you're talking about Applicant Details and Addresses, that is because those are to be updated in the 'My Profile" section.

Hello, In the form there is a point ( Have you ever used any other name), In most of the document I use the first name only and did not used the last name. So should I leave this column empty for should I write my first name in this column. Please reply me as soon as fast.

Hello thanks for watching. Generally people write the name same as appearing in their passport. If you don’t have any last name l, i think you need to leave that blank. But I am not sure. Thanks

Hi thank you for your vidio it helps me a lot. I have aquestion me and my husband( canadian) live out side canada for the last 10 years and we have a child togather our son had canadian citizen before. Before our merriage i have a son but my husband legaly addopted him and applied for canadian citizen we sent part one my mail and we received AOR letter then to continieu part 2 we sented the documents outboard 8months letter. Can you advise how you saved these web forms as pdf's? You didn't mention anything about that in the video even though description of the video says you will show how to save them. W

Thanks for watching. My bad. To save the digital webforms you just need to press Control P from your windows computer or command P from your macbook. You need to do this for all the sections/pages for your webform. Save them as pdfs to your computer for your reference only. Dont upload any of that. Hope this is helpful. Hello, thanks for watching. I think you should mention Yes for this. and mention your maiden name as your past name. and along with that, write an explanation letter to IRCC saying that both are same person, and you have changed your name after marriage. Attach 2 documents minimum to show your old and new name. Plus, you may get the same name affidavit, I am not sure about this. and I think you need to write your name same as passport throughout your visa application to avoid any confusion. Hello, thanks for watching the video. It should be sponsor Canadian address, because if any correspondence need to be sent by IRCC, they can send easily to a Canadian address. When the spousal application offline, and if IRCC returns any incomplete application, they used to return the application on sponsor's Canadian address. Hope this is clear.

I think IRCC has disabled the edit mode recently for some of the sections but it could be due to the technical glitch as well. Not sure what to do in this case :(

Hello. Personal identity document is your passport. If you are asking for National ID, then it is generally the aadhar card. But if you dont have aadhar card, i think we can give driving license too. But mostly everyone has aadhar card. Hope this helps. Please like share and subscribe:)

Hello thanks for watching. The ready to submit button is not a button, its a green sign which tells you that your form has been completed/uploaded. If you do not have the aadhar card, then you might use any other official documentation but you need to provide a proper explanation that why you do not have the aadhar card. Hello, thanks for watching. In that case, I would write 01/01/(year when it was issued). And explain this in your letter of explanation with scanned copy of aadhar on it. Even my old aadhar (2010) didn't had any dates, but I renewed my aadhar in 2021, so now it has issue date. If you are not okay with it, go to any aadhar center, and apply for a new card. New aadhar would have the issue date. It may take 7 to 10 daya to get new aadhar. But you can ask the person there. Hope this helps. Please like and share this video.
