Just started playing it and im having fun. It has a very simple story as you said and doesn't take itself too seriously which i like. Good old video game vibe 👌

I haven't tried the DLC. I figure it's nothing truly compelling or I would know about it. Still, maybe down the road when it's super super cheap I'll give it ago. Thank you so much for the kind words!

Definitely ubisofts best game in a very long time and honestly I think it’s better than BOTW. hopefully the sequel will be as good but that’s a while away yet.

I somewhat agree with your opinion on the stamina bar. I understand that it primarily functions as a barrier, preventing access to certain areas prematurely, which makes sense. However, the idea that simply floating or swimming in water depletes stamina seems nonsense. While stamina reduction for sprinting is understandable, its usage for regular swimming or floating is not. Its need for climbing is also a bit strange after Odyssey, where you could climb anything forever.

When it came out it was a "ill try it" quickly became one of my favorite games. Never have I thoroughly enjoyed 100% a game but here I am re doing it on xbox now haha

I've been binging through all the Assassin's Creed games the past week and a half and I'm probably gonna do another run of Immortals Fenyx Rising at the end of it, fantastic game :D

@@IcyRhythmsthereal The older, more stealth based games, definitely, I only just finished Assassin's Creed Origins for the first time about an hour ago, since they started padding them out so much, I start to lose interest about half way through, but I'm gonna finish them all this year.

I've been having a lot of fun with this game, I picked up the deluxe edition (that includes the 3 expansions and some other DLC stuff) on sale for $20, which is about 80 bucks less than it's usually listed at. Also, the Zelda comparisons are for Breath of the Wild specifically, and it's for A LOT more than just the puzzles. The sort of cel shaded visual aesthetic, the way climbing and stamina works, and the gliding/flying mechanic are all directly inspired by Breath of the Wild. I think the combat in Immortals is better overall, but I do think BotW has an advantage with all of the crazy, unconventional ways you can take out enemies, like getting them struck by lightning during a storm or having them killed by a horde of chickens. Still, this is definitely one of the best games Ubisoft has put out in awhile and was an absolute steal at only $20

I feel we as adult gamers can be a bit picky. When we were kids alot of us just blindly bought a game played it until we had no more fun. Then, bought another game. Today, we are so comfortable telling developers how they should develop their game🤔. How about we just don't buy/play those games that we do not like instead of making demands. Hell, now these big developerment studio essentially do the same thing but in reverse. That type of thinking kills innovations, imo.

I watched this today, on a day where Ubisofts (and western devs in general) game design template is under scrutiny. Theres a big conversation to be had about this, but I dont think this is the game for me to slam on. Its obviously a more light-hearted than the usual Ubisoft/Sony thing, so I kinda wanna give it a pass. But I'm really to let rip on those towers, stealth meters and quest shopping lists!

It’s ridiculous. It’s padding and lazy padding at that. It’s all designed to keep you playing the game as long as possible so you feel you got a great deal for $60.

But as game after game had them, and it spread to other devs games, the feeling of a template set in. I like that Fromsoftware has inadvertedly got western devs to think about this, but gamers have been saying it for a while now and you've certainly spoke about it before.

Games good, trying to get to play it is a pain in the but, on the switch at least, you can't play until you log in to Ubisoft, problem is it won't let you log into Ubisoft......

I think this is a must play if you are a mythology fan like me cause all the small references to the mythology of the greek gods like aphrodites birth, ares and his snake etc. The first thing i saw was this has similiarity to AC: odyssey and the older game i thought this reminded of was Kameo from xbox 360 days

I already played the game, just here for entertainment. But I love the combat. As someone who loves an intricate combo system, I enjoy the simplicity of the game. It feels good, it's fun and addicting. Not all games have to have complexity in all their features. I felt plenty of the puzzles were not as easy as you said. Plenty others were, but there were more than enough that made me think. And it has one of my favorite puzzles in video games. I tend to hate puzzles. So they did a big win for me. Did you not upgraded the wall climb? Afterwards, it felt faster to do. Combine it with the double jump and godly power, reaching higher places was fun as heck. Also, idk if you played BotW, but it took quite the big inspiration from the stamina bar from there. Which BotW took from its predecessor, Skyward Sword. Blame BotW for giving Ubisoft the idea. I, too, dislike stamina bars. I don't mind it the combat, not much everything else. Anyway, fun review to watch. Keep at it! If I gave it a score, would be a 9.5. Whatever little annoyance it had, didn't deter me from enjoying to the max. Plus the only Ubisoft game besides Child of Light that I played, so don't have that distaste for Ubisoft junk feeling.

I came back to this video after playing the game for a few hours and your take on the stamina bar is interesting. I think it's a breeze compared to BOTW. That game has the dark souls of stamina bars lol

It’s always available for $10-15 on consoles. Totally worth that for a 25-30hr game. Ubisoft can kiss my ass trying to 100% this lol

Playing elden ring ATM and man .....this is potentially the game of the generation if not overall most most definitely so far. It's absolute god tier gaming!!

It started so good. And the humor. But they ruined the characters in the story. Went too far it breaks the immersion and believability of the characters. Too much lecturing. Zeus is like a child and constantly lectured about stupid shit. All the tropes in modern day thrown in.

Climbing is Very slow and coupled with the stamina bar it does suck at the start. Barely started it but yeah so far it's a great game otherwise

I’ve heard overall good things about this game. It’s weird because this tells me that Ubisoft CAN make a good game these days. Or at least, some people in that company can. I don’t like Ubisoft as a company, but if I could get this game second hand or something, I think I’d play it. Especially after a review as fair in pointing out its defeats and victories as yours. Based on what you said about the comparison to Zelda games, I feel like you've never played Breath of the Wild. The majority of the gameplay is a blatant ripoff of BotW. That's not a bad thing. The game is amazing. But it compares to Breath of the Wild in a lot more ways than just the puzzles.
