Great video Mark. 9 years in now. I've learned to take off when the odds are the market will be slow. (i.e. Friday's before a holiday weekend, the last part of August, Thanksgiving week, and the week between Christmas and New Years). I scalp the ES and Its just not worth the added stress of dealing with slow markets during these times when there are so many other times that are easier and clearer with more volatility. There is a saying, "you gotta make hay when the sun is shining". I've learned to skip those times when traditionally the sun isn't shining.

I was stressing on Friday when a stock I put AU $1000 closed 65% higher from when I bought it the day before. Didn't know whether to sell or hold. In the end I put a stop loss in a 50% profit.

Love your videos! Don’t know if this will help or not but I’ve found myself just looking at the points on the whiteboard and then not watching the whole video… Maybe putting the points throughout the video instead of all at the beginning would make more people watch the whole thing? This is just purely to try help out the channel ! Cheers :)

Holy crap, why (15h) ...? is it going up again.... ! honest, looking at the charts for today, i had no clue;. It's weird, much ATR, and some indicators are low.... they don't even wait for the ISM. Last time, the ISM reverse the steam.

Trading is fascinating, however can't deny my numbers. Since 2014 My stock investments are outperforming my trading returns by almost 50% I'm really debating in stop trading and fully focus on investing. Specially when having a family now and not stressing about what the market is going to do on the next day.

Ofcourse investing will outperform your trading. You didnt know this when you began trading that this will happen? Trading is a job. You want to make more money trading, you have to use more capital. Ofcourse you need to be profitable and not alittle above breakeven for it to be wurth it. You never thought about increasing capital on your trading? Seems like you are profitable so build the account up. Or just use more money if you are confident. But trading will never outperform the markets in the long run. Its not ment to be because you can use more capital with trading than you can afford with investing because you dont risk the while capital you are using with trading. So it can outperform moneywise but not percentagewise. NQ gain 36% last year. I got 19 of that. But used multiple contracts wich i could not afford to do if i wanted to invest in the NQ. With investing you have big risk, with trading yes you are working with risk but in the long tun you are eliminating that risk. Because you known you will be profitable if you follow your rules. Wich you cant with investing so u have to use less capital. U never know what will happen in the futures. Stock market can go nowhere for years and years. Or it can crash and stay crashed for years. Even more then a decade. You never know. With trading you are in control. Let the markets outperform and do there thing. I prefer being safe. Ofcoures trading will take years to learn. I invest with a low amount of my capital because i know the risk.
