I remember growing up during the Satanic panic in the 80's and 90's. In a sense I think I backfired. Christians became so hyper vigilant that the opposite happened. So when most of the claims that were made came out as false it seems that people stopped taking Satan and Hell seriously. Song request : 7 Seals by Testament

This band is at the front in the fight against the wickedness in the world and the true deceiver Satan. Impending Doom or just DØØM to their fans along with Demon Hunter (DH) aka (Blessed Resistance) are the ones who are the pioneers of Christian Metal. If it wasn't for the works of these two masterminds in Brook Reeves and Ryan Clark of DH, we wouldn't have the bands that we do today like, For Today, Earth Groans, War Of Ages, Wolves At The Gate, August Burns Red, Fit For A Kind and many more. Brook is a true believer and a God fearing man. I love how he doesn't sugar coat things and speaks more of Gods rath and his warnings to sinners. Love what you guys do and how you break down music and vocals. God Bless.

Just wanted to share that last week, at age 35, I finally got Saved and decided to commit to serving the Lord. Glad to see you and your son have discovered Christian metal. I love these breakdowns you guys do. As someone who has been following impending doom for quite some time, I have always enjoyed the fact that there vocalist has always addressed the heavier and darker topics that most don't think about and some don't even read about it, but regardless I have always liked that there is a band out there not afraid to address the heavier topics that aren't really discussed in regards to God. Hope you guys do some more impending doom, they have quite the catalog!

What you said about Hell speaks to something I say in commentary about Romans 8:31-39, which is that Gods love is fully known and understood by the person in hell, but they are unable to experience the joy and peace that come along with the rest of the things salvation brings. There’s no worse thing in the world visually I can imagine that would be worse than knowing you are so loved, yet you’re condemned and unable to fellowship with God for all eternity.

I get the feeling that like me, Pastor Rob really digs heavy bass driven riffs! I like their sound. I've come to really look forward to your videos, keep up the good work. I like that you delve into metal and the scripture based analysis of it. Being raised a Baptist, I remember hiding my music that I liked because it was so frowned upon. As an adult of 43 years old and still big into metal, it's cool to see that not all of it really is evil. The lryical messages are not always flowers and rainbows, but an observation of life, good or bad, and worth a listen.

First of all I want to say I love your reaction videos and appreciate the time needed to create and edit these videos. Honestly I have not been a subscriber for long but am happy to be here now. Unfortunately after reviewing a lot of the songs you react to there are some bands that need to be added not only for their lyrical topics but their symbolic portrayal of said topics. Some great examples will be listed below to name a few, this list should start a path for reactions. As a side comment I would say, reacting to symbolic representations of the songs topic would be nice as well. 1: Anything by Gorgoroth 2: Anything by Behemoth (favorites will have to be "Blow your trumpets Gabriel" or "God=Dog" plus many many more) 3: Anything by Dimmu Borgir 4: SKYND (Columbine or Gary Heidnik)

I think I understand why your son mentioned that there was essentially no uniqueness apart from their other albums. I agree that they have a certain similar sound quality. To me, every album and song kind of sounds the same in a way but I believe it's just their "brand" if you will. Like if you played any song from any album id be like, "yep that's Impending Doom" and I think that's why they are so great to me. They don't need to change much to be good.

Man I used to LOVE Impending Doom and they really fell off after Baptized in Filth; their albums afterwards have the same sound. I was hoping for a new direction in sound and more specifically Brook's vocals, but to each his own.
