I'm glad that they are taking the parts of EU Rome and mixing it with other franchises. I do think that it will have some things that will be hard to manage with the points system...

Gabriel Wagler I believe Johan talked about Imperator being a culmination of lots of PDS games, but Im running on like 3 hours of sleep today so I could be totally wrong.

Now im wondering how detailed a modern day version of this can be. The fighting might not be realistic since it isn't like hoi4 but everything else looks like it can be fit for one.

The map of the peloponnese and attica in greece seems very detailed. should be interesting to see how that shakes out

It's all good and sound, as I expected, but Sparta being a generic monarchy, instead of a Diarchy, hurts me more then the absence of VIctoria 3.

Yea the single leader only thing is a bummer, maybe PDX will come up with some way to implement multiple rulers in the future

Mil, Adm, Dip plus religious. I find the arbitrary power-point system in EU4 disappointing and gamey. It seems like it is the same here with new stickers.

Old stickers, its a sequel to EU: Rome. If you didn't like the core of that game, your not going to find this any better

I didn't play EU:Rome. It just seems paradox have changed focus from the simulation aspect to the gamey aspect with victoria II being the so far absolute pinnacle of what I mean with sim. The fear is that it will be a rome-skin of EU4 in a different timeline and not its well thought out mechanics that makes sense for this period. EDIT: Forgot I like your video. Thumbs up! :)

peope1976 Yea, PDS has moved away from simulation in recent games. I like strategy games regardless of realism but the sim aspects in Vicky definitely put that game in a league of its own. As long as their is depth in the mechanics I'll be happy with Imperator, and hopefully we'll see a Vicky 3 down the road to fill the simulation niche
