Hey guys, Surreal here again! We've got other videos lined up, which is going to be a mixture of a tutorial series and introductions to changes made in 2.0. The two biggest changes made to the game with the free update is the Military and Warfare, which has been covered in this video and the last one. Technology/inventions will be a big one too!

@@robyn6884 CK3 is a good game, but it still needs time to mature, right now it's a little bit barebones on the content side of things. Coming over from CK2 it doesn't feel like there's enough new stuff to properly hook you in

I like what you've done with the army management so far. I never gave up on this game. With such massive overhaul of the game my faith in Imperator is cemented and hope for the best in the future especially with character management and governorships *hint hint*. As for start Antigonid is always my litmus test for new updates except Punic war. Anyway Great game keep up the good work

I haven't played the game since May, so I don't remember its state well. Surprised to hear that combat width is just now being linked to the terrain. It seems like a pretty standard feature in Paradox games and I assumed that Imperator already had it. I love the changes shown in the last video, this one seems a bit meh in comparison.

A couple of things though: Can't assign monarchs or consuls to lead the legions...and the legions can't be assigned to a given province which would help out alot with stabilising disloyal territories. Please add these features back, they're all that's missing now...

Will archers not function like artillery in EUIV? Seems silly to have archers on the frontline and heavy infantry in the back like in the video? Not only historically inaccurate but incredibly inefficient. Where’s the incentive to recruit archers if they die before my heavy infantry even get to the fight? Would make more sense to have them affect the combat in front of them from a safer rear position. You could counteract this by making them even weaker when they do eventually make it to the front line.

Well ranged units used to go in the frontline and after the volleys they would go to the backline, maybe tht will happen in the battles

Archers also take more morale damage, so they will rout faster, but take lesser casualties as a result. I would say archers have their own uses when you need cheap fodder to pad out your armies.

@@roflol100 this only works in game if they have dedicated skirmish and battle phases, if not then the archers have no place in front because in terms of the game they’ll fight and rout and then be useless

it´s a good game but as with all paradox titles, only with mods. I currently play with the invictus mode and it is really enjoyable. There are not enough quality of life tools in the base game - i.e. management of provices.

I think this game is missing the point in being unique, it's trying to be all the paradox games in one, the result in my opinion is just busy work and not gameplay, they should just have created a "general" mechanic, where there are few important characters but that have weight on the gameplay, think of annibales vs scipione, where you can tell the general "go conquer gallia" or "defend this province", OH AND dont get me starded on the bloody civil wars and rebellions.... too many

CK3 hasn´t even been out for long... Imperator got them massive amounts of bad PR due to how incredebly half-assed it was and still is, until this update releases, it is looking like its going to fix the game in a big way. Not a good idea to release DLC for it when people lost a lot of faith in PDX due its realease state.

A whole new studio is being dedicated to Imperator so in reality the CK3 dev team isn't being affected much.
