This is literally how cams are made. I'm not sure why it's considered impressive. Cams have been ground this way even before the advent of CNC machines.

@@narmale Looks like standard level of finish for a ground camshaft. Unless they showed a profilometer reading that showed what the actual surface finish measures the look is irrelevant.

The funny thing is some cam need a slight angle or won't spine the cups /lifters roller / follower cams are the flat grind

Impossible on machine thats designed to do it 😒cmon guys
