Hi, I think it will depend on which device you wanna use as the streaming device. Will it be the IPhone or the iMac?

Hi. Can I do the same method with a usb cable and an OTG adapter? I want to record videos with samsung native camera app and my yamaha usb mixer (MG10XU).

Sorry can't say about the method as we haven't tried it before, it should be easier if you aren't planning to do live though

Hello, could I run main speakers and do a live stream at the same time?
@ThatsWhyWeSing4 жыл бұрын
It should be possible. For our live worship streaming, we normally connect the Yamaha MG10XU stereo out to the iPad while the monitor out goes to an external amp for monitoring purposes. Hope this helps.

This video has literally saved my musical life. I am a jazz pianist, and my jazz vocalist wife and I have been trying to do live-streaming duo performances using Zoom and my Yamaha MG10XU mixer without any success, until I saw your video. Everything works perfectly! We are so grateful to you. One thing I did find is that I have to plug the mixer to the iPad before I turn on the mixer or else the piano sound is wonky, but that’s easy to do, I just have to remember turn the mixer on last. THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!!

farkenzi We’re glad this helped. Thanks for your observation about the Zoom part, didn’t know that before :) May God bless you!

That's Why We Sing quick question: with the set up you’ve suggested I’ve been using with Zoom on my iPad, the one downside is that you can’t hear the other Zoom participants since using the headphone jack on the iPad disconnects the iPad speaker. So, as an experiment I’d like to try the USB connection on the mixer to the iPad. I have the proper “camera connection” apple adapter, but I can’t seem to figure out how to get the mixer to send the USB signal to the iPad. Can you please help me with the proper mixer connections/setting for this? I realize it may not be ideal due to the volume issues with the USB output, but I’d like to try anyway. Thanks very much.

@@farkenzi I fear that we can only test this next Saturday as the mixer isn't with me right now. However, as a workaround, maybe you can try connecting your iPad to a bluetooth speaker? This should enable you to hear the Zoom participants without the need to use the iPad's internal speakers. We haven't tried this before though but I think it is worth giving a shot if you happen to have a spare bluetooth speaker lying around :) If it does work, it would be better if you raised the bluetooth speaker volume only during audience interaction as latency issues might might affect you when you're recording. Hope this helps and may God bless you!

If I want to connect monitor to understand what I’m playing or singing... how to connect monitor
@ThatsWhyWeSing4 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can connect speakers to the mixer via the monitor out output if you're using the stereo out for live recording; if you wish to use earphones as a monitor you can use the monitor out output instead.

Can you kindly teach how to connect 12 pro max with a mixer for FB live pls. with this method I’m able to receive the mixer signal in voice recorder and mobile video but not in FB live.
@ThatsWhyWeSing4 жыл бұрын
When you do FB live is the sound input switched back to the iPhone's internal microphone? We use the Switcher app for FB live where you can test whether the input signal comes from the mixer or internal microphone. You can download the Switcher app for free and give it a try. Do note that if the iPhone dongle is used the sound quality worsens when compared with an iPad. Hope this works and may God bless!

Hi, which version of the iPad / iPhone are you using? Are you using the MG10XU mixer or another mixer? You may try connecting them all together first before opening the streaming app~

@@ThatsWhyWeSing I have the I phone 7. That might be why. I have the mg10xu as well. I also used voice memos and garage band. And I also connected it all before powering on my phone. It’s probably because of the phone I have. No big deal really. I was just wondering
@ThatsWhyWeSing3 жыл бұрын
@@jonestodd72 I see! Does the connection method work with voice memos? I do happen to have a spare iPhone 7 with me but I'm afraid I can only test it later as the mixer isn't with me right now

@@ThatsWhyWeSing hey I think I figured it out. This might not be why tho. I have a 1/4 to 3.4mm cable. I’m running that to a 3.4mm to lightning adapter used for headphones. That could be the reason. I tried using the cable in an input and was able to play audio from my phone out my PA, so I don’t think it’s my phone or mixer. I’ll do some more experimenting with it. I’ve lost my usb to lightning adapter, I think if I find it I’ll be able to use my phone like a computer with the usb plug on the back.
