Watch ‪@Vo2maxProductions‬ video to learn how to apply these exercises to your running form and learn why this matters so much. I didn't mention it in the video, but I do think pilates, especially a pilates reformer class, can be helpful for the reasons mentioned in the videos.

great tips, thanks! I also like doing an isometric variation on that 2nd exercise - pushing my feet into a wall. I can really feel the glutes fire while maintaining that stable core.

Awesome suggestions. Totally agree with only doing the range of motion that keeps you in good form. I do bridges and clamshells after runs to stave it band/ runners knee and only open the clamshell to the point where my hip would move, anything beyond that and the glutes get taken out of it. Very sound advice and nice follow up video to Sage’s. Thanks coach Sandi!

Wow this is very helpful together with your collegue's video! I've been struggling w tight quads for over 6months, have been to several physios and coaches but none have revealed me this and in such detail! Thanks for the specific exercises and also your home stretch idea! I also found that stretching the front with one leg bent behind for a rectus femoris stretch works really well. I do it using a big exercise ball that i put in front of the wall and then position myself in front of it with one leg bent and ball holding the front of that lower bent leg.

G rated video!! Gold. I love this two part approach the videos as well. It's like when I used to buy DC comics, and I'd finished reading an issue of Superman: Man of Steel, and find that the story is continued in Wonder Woman!

That was super helpful! Already in the first exercise, I can't touch the floor with my heels without losing my pelvic form - I have to limit my range of motion. Now that I'm aware of it, I'm hopeful I can fix it!

Thank you so much for all of the great tips and for your Topo running shoe videos. I honestly would have never tried them had it not been for your reviews and frankly they are the best shoes I’ve ever owned. Could you possibly suggest some Topo road shoes for speed and tempo workouts? I currently run in the Topo Phantoms. I understand you have been going through a lot here lately, so thank you for continuing to help us all out with such great content. It is greatly appreciated!

Nice, and note that it's best not to let the knee come in front of the ankle when you're doing the hip flexor lunge stretch. In yoga we learn that that's very bad for your knee. Slide the foot forward if you need to.

I recently started running about 2 months ago and have progressively made it up to an hour per session. Now when I run about 30 minutes in I'm starting to feel some pain slight pinch in my inner hip/groin area. I weight train mainly but I really do like running for the cardio. Any advice?

Cameraman Sage, always shoot with the light behind you. I would've shot from the other side from where you are. You want the side that's getting the light to be towards the camera. In this video, you're on the shadow side.
