I think the acorn tree not being present is because originally the Super Acorn wasn't in either the original Super Mario Maker or Super Mario Maker 2 before the extra power up update added it, so they didn't wanna put in a power up in the background that's unobtainable, so people won't complain about not being able to get a power up that's in the background.

this is really cool! i think the lighting looks a little flat, especially in areas like the ghost house and castle that usually have very bright light coming from the bottom. but this is still very cool!

Yo! This is sick, it's much more accurate. I have a question though, when the Worlds System was first added I was severely disappointed by the limitations, capped level points, map space and the huge fact that your stuck in the Super Mario World Theme, so is it possible to add new themes or change the map space or anything? I understand it's a huge question and probably isn't possible but I have just been so curious..

Man I wished I still had my NSMBU remade tilesets somewhere, this mod looks so damn impressive but the grass in acorn plains looks radioactive and the cave tileset is just bad 😂 If I ever find it back, do you want me to send them to you? What I had done is I remade the entire Acorn Plains, Athletic and Underground tilesets with the actual NSMBU assets instead of the oversaturated stuff SMM2 uses

If the Switch can run 3D models in Mario Maker 2, why did Nintendo not just do that instead of sprites?

Because sprites are easier to render than models. If they made all the enemies 3D, then levels with a lot of enemies on screen (like those that Little Timmy made) would be laggier. Same goes for power ups.

​@@nottim295 That problem was present with the Wii U version, but I've tried spamming 3D models in SMM2 and the switch can handle it. Also remember that the 3D World style is a thing in Mario Maker 2 and everything is 3D.
