Listen, you have to be measured in your reviews which I understand, but let’s be honest here. This is coming from someone who owns and has owned multiple Toyotas. There is no reason to buy this vehicle over a Tahoe or an expedition. The only logical reason I could think of is the same reason many Toyota owners give it’s gonna last 300,000 miles blah blah blah well guess what most people don’t have any interest in driving their vehicles that long. I know many people who have the SUVs that dominate the full-size segment, and most of them have had no issues whatsoever.

It's not about the 300k miles. It's about the reliability and the brand loyalty which creates incredible resale value.

Nah people want some practically with average to decent reliability and features… It’s one life no need to buy a Toyota for 20 years anymore and drive it to your grave. There reasons why people buy other brands like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Honda, Kia, Lexus and others is because they all have certain things to offer… People will take features and relative reliability over old, boring and outdated. The screens used in Toyotas look like they are 1990s and early 2000s let me know what that has to do with reliability?? Putting a twin turbo with a v6 is dumb when mpg is same as the as the old bullet proof v8. They created massive complications. Creating a bigger SUV with smaller cargo and third row is not practical.. Harsh ride is not practical… Depending on reliability vs actual improvement is not working anymore. The competitor has surpassed Toyota big time. Go drive the Volkswagen atlas and sit in the 3rd row, go drive the telluride, go drive Honda Pilot, go drive the Tahoe, Cherokee L, go drive the competition and this car other than looks is total fail. It’s other siblings such as 4 runner and the Lexus gx makes better sense… Toyota is not even the most reliable brand anymore… They better redesigned it fast or Toyota is going out of business in the next 5-10 years.

@@persaud101 it’s a fail. No reason for me to trade our current Highlander in for this. Toyota just wanted to stick the word hybrid in this vehicle and by doing so the battery forces way too many compromises with rear seat and cargo space. And the mileage improvement doesn’t seem much over the class leaders in the large SUV segment. There isn’t much sound logical reasoning to buy this over a Tahoe or an expedition or a wagoneer or a grand Cherokee L.

Besides how the hell is this new power train in the sequoia gonna be reliable? They should’ve kept the bullet proof v8, i would buy a 4runner at this point, or heck even an older sequoia

I think that Toyota did not a good job with this completely new Sequoia, i give Toyota a C for this car.

I can’t even get the advertised MPGs, 17.5 combined with my capstone in 2H or two wheel drive. Its a joke, I’m still at 500 mile on the odometer so we’ll see if this improves as the vehicle engine get broken in and settles. Yeah not impressed with rear cargo space but was willing to accept if mileage was good. If I can’t get that either, this car is not worth it. Toyota needs to deliver on claims and advertised features or will have a lawsuit coming

Currently looking for a Blizzard pearl on red rock interior platinum.. 2020 and above 2nd gen Sequoia... They changed a phylosophy with this new redesigned sequoia, it's no longer an SUV. It is a same platform with Land cruiser 300 which is overseas, while land cruiser is forever discountinued in United states, this sequoia generation suppose to fill that gap between offroader (land cruiser) and family suv (sequoia 2 gen) were. But reality is different, it hardly managing both tasks. And having said that, i think Lexus LX 600 is way better choice. The price for new sequoia goes everywhere around 90K$.. which is insane.
