Just saw on the news re this app and found this video. Can you give an update? Are you still using it? Still seeing improvement? Others you know - same questions? Thanks!

How about my hearing that is in the extended high frequency not the speech like at the ENT that test up to 8,000 and my hearing was fine. I went to tinnitus clinic and they tested a higher frqequency up to 20,000. I have severe-profound in right ear and mild in left. So I can’t use hearing aides because my hearing loss is so high. Would this work with me? They say we don’t use the hearing loss much that I have, but with my tinnitus it makes it so much louder. They said, I have cochlear sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus.

Thanks for this overview. One question I have is this. Assuming my hearing DOES improve, can I stop using the app while maintaining my hearing, or is this something I need to use for life? Of maybe once I feel my hearing has improved enough, use it every 3-4 months? Any thoughts on this?

Reading through the comments it does not appear anyone has responded other than the OP regarding if this worked for them or not.

I tried it but found it a little buggy. Do notice my tinnitus less, but not sure if that is with app or just overtime placebo affect or natural habituation. But can't hurt to try they do give 2 weeks free. Plus hoping supporting them which seems to be a legit company more funding could be had for tinnitus and hearing loss.

I've had hearing loss in right ear due to Meniere's for about 10 years. Any idea if this app will work if you've had hearing loss for that long?

Hi Catherine, as far as I can tell, the length of time you have experienced hearing loss doesn't affect the therapy, so definitely give it a shot!

Hi Glenn, tried this app but I found the app to be very buggy. IOS has a setting to see the output of the headphone level and the decibels on that setting do not match the decibel level on the assessment or during the treatment. Furthermore running it a few times I;'ve noticed the decibel level sometimes is higher than previous and does not seem to be consistent. I was hoping it would help but think it is a little buggy hope they can fix the issues and I have sent audiocardio my bug finding.

This app sounds very promising and I plan to give it a try. In a response in the FAQ to a question concerning the possibility of increasing the hardware volume during the hearing assessment, AudioCardio responded "The hardware volume must be set at the 'Auto-Set' volume level." I am not sure what this means, since I have never seen such an option in the iOS settings. Any ideas?

When you open the app/start the assessment, it sets the hardware volume on the phone to the correct level it needs to be. This happens within the app itself, it's not a setting in iOS. You also don't want to change the volume during the assessment or while playing the therapy as that would change the decibel level playback of the therapy. Hope that makes sense.

SO this sounds very interesting, but no where on their web page or app store does it list prices and plans without divulging all of your information first. But, you can invest in the company.... No a good sign.

Hi Chris, pricing is $8-15 per month after the 2 week free trial, depending on whether you pay one month at a time, or if you sign up for 6-12 months at once.

The study did not show if there were adverse results to tinnitus perception like spikes or changes to higher volume or intensity, do you know something on that?
@MindOverMenieres
@MindOverMenieres 3 жыл бұрын
I do not believe anyone had any sort of adverse reactions to their tinnitus. It's hard to imagine that there would be a mechanism that could cause a spike. You are essentially just listening to tones that are playing so quietly that you can't really hear them. Hope that makes sense!

Even if true, sensitizing to *one frequency is useless. Thumbs down.
