I’m like a hopeless case. I’ve got fibromyalgia and symptoms of menieres. Also weakness in my legs and arms. I have a neurologist but he’s clueless. My rhumatologist doesn’t seem to care about the pressure in my head. My point is I could use your help. Please!! Thank you

I'm 63 and live on my own. That's really tuff for me. Sometimes I will give up, but the most of the time I'm a warrior, survivor. I wonder if I could fly , I want to go for a holiday. There's so many questions but im going on. Will never quit.

For me at least, having Tinnitus is a my bodies guide telling when things are good or getting bad. When you're going through a diagnosis it can be difficult. Because trying to find a pattern in your life that replicates your symptoms is nearly impossible. Salt is so littered in most our food it's disgusting and having a high sodium diet cause much more problems then Meniere's. Drinking lots of water helps. We can limit our sodium intake but keeping your body hydrated really helps the body flush out sodium. You can let it pass through faster if you're peeing more frequently. If you like Coffee as much as I do then drinking lots of water is a must.

How about my hearing that is in the extended high frequency not the speech like at the ENT that test up to 8,000 and my hearing was fine. I went to tinnitus clinic and they tested a higher frqequency up to 20,000. I have severe-profound in right ear and mild in left. So I can’t use hearing aides because my hearing loss is so high. Would this work with me? They say we don’t use the hearing loss much that I have, but with my tinnitus it makes it so much louder. They said, I have cochlear sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus.

Some cases is a Neti Pot not good for Meniere's? It's saline and I'm just wondering if all that salt running through my nasal passages can then absorb into the ear area swelling them up other words not supposed to have any salt right ? Just wondering if putting all that salt up in that area of my head is not good for the meniere's?

I don’t have Ménière’s disease, but I have Anxiety, and panic attacks, so I have experience vertigo a few times, I can’t go on rides that spins me around, if I do go on one, it can’t go to fast, I don’t know if this is considered vertigo but sometimes I feel like i’m titling towards one side, or i’m being pulled / dragged towards the left or right, and sometimes I have these sensation that I’m falling or being pulled to the ground

I disagree that the sickest people are the ones making content in the chronic illness communities. These people have to be well enough to video, edit and publish content. People with severe MECFS cannot even look at a phone for instance. Interestingly I have found that the media usually showcase the disabled that "don't let their illness get them down". From my short time looking at the Meniere's community, there seems to be a lot of health coaches, chiropractors and natural health types that think they have the answers. It's a lot different from the MECFS and POTS community.

Interesting prednisone does nothing for mine. And I have POTS so was always told to eat tons of salt, so this is opposite of what I'm supposed to do with meniere's. lol

I feel like my experience was a bit different because mine all started after an ear infection. I know exactly what caused it all to begin. I kept going to the doctor because that full feeling and deep tinnitus would come and go on a weekly basis. At the time I didn't have the vertigo...YET. Then slowly by slowly the vertigo was happening more often and now I had 4 vertigo attacks this month alone. Yeah doctors have been pretty useless. lol I have POTS, so have always been told to eat tons of salt, so I don't know how this is going to work. My biggest worry is to actually get an official dx because I think they'd take my license and I cannot survive without that. Oh and it is interesting you say how rare it is. My 1st cousin has meniere's too.

I loved this app and have been using it for over a year know. It really helps with the ringing I have in one ear. But the app it’s self has so many issues. It often tells me to purchase it even though I pay for it every month. I go into my settings and it shows its effect till….. whenever…. But then I go into the app and nope it wants me to pay again. Right now I went to go use it and it keeps telling me to take the hearing test first… so I take the test and it tells me my score then tells me i must take the test in order to use it . I re the the test and again it tells me my score and then tellls me I have to take the test first before I can start the assessment… been this way for a couple days now and no there’s no updates needed for the app I have already checked … very frustrating.. which is such a disappointment to me bc like I said I love it otherwise it helps me so much. Now with that said I have to use it everyday in order to keep the ringing in my ear from getting loud again

Diagnosed about 4 years ago and still holding down a 10 nightshift in a very pressured supermarket job. Mostly ok, apart from being deaf and the tinnitus, but when the vertigo attacks start. It's a whole new ball game. Hours of vomiting tge inability to move for fear of more vomiting. And yet still not considered a disability in the UK. Just get on with it, and consider yourself lucky you've git a job.

The US Air Force retired me with a disability in 1980. I was diagnosed with Meniers Desease after an event that. Damaged my ears. Over the years the condition would vary and even would go for an extended period of time with no symptoms. Then the symptoms would come almost in clusters then taper off. Like you I’ve learned to cope with the condition and yet now as a senior citizen and as a disabled Vietnam vet, the frequency and severity of symptoms is rather constant with attacks weekly. Thank you for bringing attention to Meniers and the effects it can have on life issues
