IMU ERROR | CRASH DJI Mavic Air 2 | PART 1

Sorry for that IMU error and for the injury. I do think that DJI should be able to return the drone close to home using just the GPS and optical sensors and ignore the data from the IMU except for keeping it level. Also strange that the engine shutoff did not work. I know it is set to "emergency only" by default. Maybe the MA2 did not sense it was in emergency state? If you have the flight logs it seems DJI will replace it. Maybe your experience will help DJI to improve the firmware. I have an MA2 and has not given any trouble.

2jomok2 Thank you for the comment!! I thought the same thing, GPS and optical sensors should be sufficient for RTH and landing. Maybe the IMU was overwriting that input with higher priority. I agree, MA did not realize the emergency it was in. It even did not register hitting the ground in the beginning of the flight. Such a flight maneuver is actually impossible to perform as a pilot even in sport mode. I returned it to Amazon and waiting for my replacement unit now.

This rattling on engine is normal I think. Because I have brand new MA2 and I have this sound my left front engine. this sound because of plastic magnet housing. housing have some space where magnets is in the housing. So there is no problem

Yes, no issues!!! I am now testing the Mavic Mini 2, videos coming up soon. The engines seem to run much smoother and they are really quite compare the the Mavic Air 2. Quite surprising since the Mavic Air 2 was running really nice and kind of quite already.

That is a mavic air 2 but the fly data you're showing is for a mavic mini. The air 2 doesn't have p mode.

eliyamil117 You are right but the app shows it like this in the App. In part 2 the Mavic Air 2 left front arm is in frame together with the flight data. Also it says Mavic Air 2 in the App at the bottom right.

Dude that just happened to me the last time i used my mavic air, how do you fix it? I was landing mine and then it take off again and go straight to the ground again , I try to calibrate the IMU several times but it just keep doing it every flight :(
