Professor Karen, you are a genius. What you and Dr. Carr mentioned about suffering. The Black Church historically taught suffering as a virtue because Christ suffered so the whole notion of suffering is ingrained in the psyche of Black people just like "Slaves obey your masters" is ingrained that is why as Dr. Carr said we will walk pass a Black business to a White business only to suffer abuse and almost beg the White business owner to take our money. Professor Karen you are a genius in so many ways and thank you and Dr. Carr. I have a confession, Professor Karen I will always express my gratitude, so please never get bored with my continuous thank you.

My sister while I agree with everything you've said concerning the good works of Dr. Carr and Professor Hunter, and also the Proven fact that we as black peoples are somehow conditioned to walk pass our black businesses to spend our money at the white businesses, I agree with all of that but I must stand up and speak up for the black church. Historically the black church has always taught us how to come out victoriously from suffering and how to not become stagnated in suffering. I think sometimes we believe the interpretation of white Christians concerning Their interpretation of suffering rather than hear what our black churches and the bible truly teaches; you see in the historic past there was a sect of old English Christians who used to (possibly still do to this present day, but hidden behind closed doors) go about publicly beating themselves and each other with iron hooks on a mace until some died or where within inches of their lives claiming to suffer for Christ, that was their whole religion; even now white Christians believe that suffering is a virtue, but they believe that it should be others suffering and they get their reward by helping those that they can keep in a perpetual state of suffering while they themselves can't bear any length of real suffering unless it is self inflicted by their own twisted beliefs, the black church has never taught us to intentionally suffer, it has always taught us to rise above our suffering since everyone has times of ups and downs and times of swift transitions happens to all, the black church teaches us to stand and overcome those times of suffering not to stay in them. Also again you are taking the racists interpretation of the scripture "Slaves Obey Your Masters" when you look at that scripture in a sensible way you will understand that it's speaking of an employer, everyone is considered a slave to their employer even to this present day, Do you not obey their time schedule? Do you not obey their company policies? Do you not obey their dress codes? Even in life we obey those in authority who write and enforce our laws, are we not slaves to those laws? It's how you interpreted the word slaves that could either cause you to use the interpretation of racists who used it to benefit their evil agenda or you can see it for its real purpose.
@RJ-eh9wu3 жыл бұрын
@@pathfinder5980 I certainly understand your interpretation. However, the words of the Bible were borrowed from ancient African writings. Interjected into those powerful words are the misguided interpretations of evil-doers.

Since my boys were “little” little, before school I say, “Be ready to tell me when I pick you up what you learned new today” and what I have been saying since my 20’s, talking to little kids is, “How do you want to change the world?” We have to realize, when you ask a kid what they want to be when they grow up, you are immediately validating they have no power to impact change until their grown AND you have placed an undetermined capitalistic price on their efforts. When you show them they are born with this power, you get more governance structure answers than social structure answers of simply trading money for time.
