This year instead of giving you an overall look at the Mama Tried 2021 Show we thought it would be a great idea to get a more in depth look at some of the talented builders and their bikes in the show instead. Rather than just see a bunch of bikes at a quick glance, we teamed up with Geared Science and cherry picked some of the best of the best in the show to give you a really in depth look with the builder and motorcycle it self.
So, Sit back and try not to drool on your keyboard over this first bike, Christian Newman's Twin Turbo 8 Valve Harley-Davidson ULH. He walks you around the bike while sharing some of his madness and thought process on how he wanted to build this incredible motorcycle. With over 500 hours in design work on the engine alone and probably another 3000 + hours in fabricating and building the damn thing. Christian sure knows how to blow people's minds with his wacky and wild ideas for the bikes he builds and this one is no exception. Thinking outside the box on on every piece of this bike, truly puts him on a different level.

A Bad Ass motor on a Hardtail and a 3 inch front suspension springer. You're gonna have to run your tire pressures at 20psi to get somewhat of a comfortable ride or it will be Bumpy as Hell. Also, after the bike gets put in service, where the hell do you get service parts for it??? Good fuckin' luck. Goofy is right. It's a work of art, yes, and functional. But not practical at all. Where do you put Miss Piggy?

@@Pork-Chopper, I imagine that he has the specifications for the parts that he made, so he could replace them. When the first Harley was made, those guys were in the same position of not having mass produced parts for replacement. You reminded me of this, about how the ride might be on a hardtail. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5zaaGymqc2Cerc

@@madmanonwheels5150 He may have the specifications if he created a parts list or materials list. But I highly doubt that he has machined extra parts laying around. It would be cost prohibitive to have a machine shop fabricate new parts for you. With hourly rates over $100 bucks an hour it may cost more to have it made than the cost of the part itself. In my experience when you are creating a Frankenstein motor from different parts from different motors (bikes) IT'S NOT PLUG AND PLAY. You have to machine, ie, cut, drill, file, grind, and make the parts fit correctly. And this eats up time and labor. The bike is too fucking exotic. Take it for what it is, a work of art, although functional, it's not practical at all. Take for instance the rocker arms, from two he made one with two arms to actuate two valves at once, and he made 4 like this. A very expensive proposition if you ask me, but if you have money to burn you can do whatever you like. Like a Hot Looking Babe, you already know she's high maintenance. Good Luck! The only person who can deal with that creation is the Builder/Owner. It may look and run bad ass, but with all that power the motor has I guarantee that bike won't hold up for long... Those hardtails are not comfortable rides, and you want to go fast over the potholes?? No thanks, the health of my ass and spine are more important than projecting the image of being a real Bad Boy. Not just no, but hell no. Not for me. There is nothing easy about maintaining that bike, cept for maybe changing the oil...

It is a rigid frame with no shock absorption in the seat. Ridable does not mean you can actually ride it for any amount of time. Great piece of work on the engine and how it works but it is in a frame that will not support it or the rider. A useless machine that only looks good for a show.
