God bless you. The Bible assures us that those who respect their elders will live long and prosperous lives. You are laying a beautiful foundation for your children and I'm not talking about the financial, the cataclysms that can rack the world can change all that in an instant. But values persist! Thank you for living a life of integrity as best you can. That's all any of us can do.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories. My Dad transitioned this year, he was also my number-one mentor. My Dad and my love for kindness, peace, inclusion, and ORJ are why I'm moving to Portugal. Thank you for reminding me to live through beautiful memories that were made for me.

Life is but a fleeting experience. Enjoy every moment and cherish every memory. My condolences for your loss. I bet your mentor is looking down on you now with so much pride to the man you are. Thank you for all that you and your family do. 🙏🏽❤️

I am listening to this, and tears are streaming down my face into my Cheerios. I never got the chance to thank the two women who were my mentors as a young woman. Thise ladies gave me the courage to dream about the future and the possibilities to the extent that I able to dream about a future free from financial worry and it is not only a dream but a reality. Life is truly short but good memories, good people and good habits are forever.

This video just made me do a recount of how grateful I am to my aunt. Who is still living, but to whom I am eternally grateful to. I have just journaled all that she has meant to, not only me, but to all of us. As an inspiration from you, I will not “think” about calling but will call, I will not “think” about checking in but will check in; I will not “think” about getting together with her but I will get together with her. May God bless you always!

I don't know what to say. I'm sorry for your loss. It is so wise what you said, the saddens now is because there was happiness. We miss those who touched us and left a positive legacy with us. We here know that your mentor has had all the reasons to be proud. I hope one day you will be proud of us!

Beautiful and powerful. In my mind, everyone we meet is a mentor or role model (although some are what *not* to do) regardless of whether they know it. Truly, the tests never end and be grateful for the sadness too - those thoughts will resonate with me. So sorry for your loss ❤

😢Thank you. I wrote a letter to my "auntie". I never considered her a mentor per se, but she definitely expanded my view of the world and helped shape the woman that I am today. I just wanted her to know that I recognize the important role that she played in my life.
